Officeworks Newcastle West reviews
35I never leave reviews but Incredibly rude staff in the printing area. Asked what paper samples they had for my invites and had the paper sample book thrown at me. No manners either.
Zac went above and beyond to help me with my purchases. Outstanding product knowledge and service. Thank you!
On a very busy day where the two people working in the print and copy are looked very stressed they were professional and fulfilled as many orders on the spot as they could. A shout out to Adam and Rachel because they always had a line of at least 5 people and were working for many people at once
Rochelle may have been having a bad day, but like most workplaces, you don’t take that out on customers. Talking down to us when she didn’t know how to spell Halifax, to then telling us to go get the ticket so she didn’t have to. Not a smile, not a thanks, not a have a nice day. The interaction felt like pulling teeth.
I had a horrible experience today while trying to buy an iPad at the Officeworks Newcastle West branch.
The registrar put through a wrong order and then I had to spent an hour to resolve their mistake, cancel the order and ask for a refund.
The branch staffs seemed inexperienced in handling such situation; there were lots of gaps in knowledge/information.
The manager managed the situation poorly and became sentimental when I expressed my frustration. Another staff Shaun was courteous, apologized properly and managed the manager.
I cancelled my order and now waiting for a refund. I haven’t received an confirmation email or text from Officeworks confirming the order has been canceled or I will get a refund. The whole experience made me not to trust the staffs’ skill/experience/knowledge. I will never buy a tech product from Officeworks in the future.
The most unhelpful group of people I’ve ever met. I’ve been biting my tongue but every single time I come I’m here everyone is too busy or doesn’t approach you to help. I’m not switching our business to sharp office for our office supplies
Went for a poster printing months ago, and I was pushed to use self service after waiting so long for the queue, also was blamed for not giving out all material for printing at the very first time. So very disappointing for the poor customer service. And sometimes they have issues with printing machine as well which causes inconvience when you urgently want copies to print out. Lots of things need improvement.
They have good selection of stuffs. Price is ok. Wont complaint about that.
However, the service is bad. They try to avoid you even when called. The check out counter was attended by a girl who looked disinterested in working and cant stay away from her phone.
A lot of reviewers are giving bad reviews about the service in this place, so i hope the manager can take action.
Nicole from Officeworks Newcastle West, absolutely made my day. I went in with a vague idea of what I wanted. Nicole was helpful, knowledgeable and I had the products I needed in under 10min.
Thank you people of The Officeworks Newcastle for replacing my Nest Cam Battery which stopped working after 7 days. The whole operation with paperwork took 10 mins. Great service!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The staff give zero effort in assisting customers, and take no initiative to solve problems or find stock. As a semi-regular customer there I have always had to wait 15+ minutes before being helped or served. I heard they're getting a new manager; I hope they create some change in the current attitude of the staff and make some positive changes with the store morale. Will be going to Eckersley's and Big W (or buying online) for the foreseeable future.
Don't bother calling the store, they simply will not answer the phone. Yet, even if you try to find out whether or not they have stock, don't even think about visiting the store and browsing. The staff are brutal with discouraging stray customers walking in.
Yet if you want something done you must go to th Store as they will not answer their phone.
I even rang the phone while standing in store. Nothing.
My printing job was complete but I never received the text message to tell me it was finished. I had to call into the store to retrieve it.
The job was done, but phone service is rubbish!
Great service by Andrew at the printing desk today. Good advise and he was really patient.
Thank you.
Worst service ever. Self service stations for printing photos had no paper (they sell that type of paper themselves) and when going to counter we were told to wait (despite no other customer was there). And we waited almost 1 hour to get one duplicated photo and another photo missing.to solve the issue we would have to wait another hour!? !? ! Really is this the best you can offer?
No thank you.
They are rip off. They charged me full amount for passport size photos and gave me only 2 photos instead of 4. I was told because my photo size is bit bigger than usual I will only get 2 photos. At the same time my friend got 4 photos for same size from other Officeworks.
Went in there and saw manager. Had evidence of the exact item at another store that was cheaper. Did not price match it as store promises too. Gave me no real reason and would not discuss the matter at all. Worst service I've ever had. I rang 7 times throughout the day and the phone was not answered once. Went to Kotara store afterwards and they instantly matched cheaper price.
Visited this store numerous times and every time received shocking customer service. No one offers to help and when asked, staff have terrible attitude and no energy or desire to actually help.
Zero stars for really bad customer service but unfortunately I have to give them one star to register the review. I went to pay with a $50 note for $25 worth of items that I needed for work.the response from the staff member is that they are "hardly taking any money at the moment therefore she cannot give me $25 change from a $50 note because she had no change". She then proceeded to watch me try and scrape together enough money to have the exact money to purchase them. When I didn't have enough in my own change she could not have cared less and was happy for me to leave the items and lose the sale because she was still adamant that she had no change. I asked if I could wait and be served by one of the other two employees who would have change in their tills.but she was fairly stern with her answer saying they have no change across the whole front counter as they are "hardly taking cash payments". She offered for me to pay by card but I was using petty cash from work buying work items so I didn't have a debit card with me.by this point she could tell I was going to keep questioning the change situation so she adjusted her attitude before any of the other staff members came over.she then moved me to another staff member who was using a till full of change. I asked this staff member about the change situation and she said they have plenty. I called up the store to make sure they are taking cash payments and if there would be enough change to give someone $25 and of course the answer was there is plenty of change.
U N B E L I E V A B L E! The staff member without a doubt will turn it around to make it my fault if the guy on the phone even bothers to talk to her about it. Hands down though it is worth the write up, it was one of the most pathetic customer service experiences of my life. Not only rude but went out of her way to make a simple purchase so difficult and wasted not only my time but her own time.she clearly didn't want to be there. I wonder if anyone else in the massive line up behind me got the same response from her with their cash payments.here is a thought - possibly in these trying times she should be trying her best to hang onto her job.she really doesn't deserve to be there, give the job to someone who is deserves it.
My friend & I went to your store (& I must say over time we have spent substantially in this store, as we are both inner- city residents) but our experience on Friday 15/5 at around 2pm was very disappointing.
We made our way to the customer printing section & enquired of an employee seated at a computer when perhaps she might know if the photo printing would eventually be opened? This employee was so rude, authorative & aggressive that we both stood there in disbelief,!
Whilst we all understand the difficulties in doing business these days, customer service is your best or worst advertising & this woman does not need to be loosing customers in her daily job
Tried calling four times today to ask a question about an exchange/refund. No answer all four times. Took the product into the store, and amazed to find plenty of staff around. I could have chosen at least three to talk to as soon as I walked in the door.
Wasn't able to get an exchange for the product. But would have been nice to know that over the phone, saving a trip.
