54 ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL… BUYER BEWARE!
I recently purchased a laptop during the Black Friday sales. The sales person said it’s the only one left & the box is opened because someone purchased it earlier that day & then returned it back to the store an hour later. He said it wasn’t used, just change of mind etc. I trusted this & purchased it.
On setting the computer up & scanning the QR code on it, I discovered the 12 month warranty only had 6 months left on it. I packed it up, went back to the store & the history of it was then printed out. It turns out it was purchased in January by someone who activated the warranty in March as it needed to be sent away for repairs! How it ended up back in the store to be resold not once.but twice after the original purchase is beyond me. There are two Managers at this store, the one on duty that day just said “ sorry about that” and didn’t seem to care or think this was an issue, so I left a message for the other Manager to call me regarding this, however I haven’t heard from him.
This has left me wondering if this is how Officeworks operates by selling second hand items.
As I said it appeared to be a non issue with the Manager.
Officeworks Brookvale is a big thumbs down for me, very poor customer service and extremely dishonest.
The only positive was the lovely young man who served me when I returned the laptop. He was very friendly, polite, helpful & understanding.
He gets 5 stars, The Manager gets 0!

Today I bought a smart tv. Euan who served me was absolutely brilliant, knowledgeable, efficient and smart, he even carried tv out to car and loaded it up for me. Thank you so much I was very impressed.
I visited the Dee Why store today & was assisted by 2 gentlemen about 2 different things & must say both Ray & Pat were absolutely brilliant. There knowledge & expertise was great & made my visit very quick & successful. Thank

Staff is helpful. Prices are ok. Know what you want. Sometimes new models are held at the back until the old ones are sold and some items sold out on the website are still on the shelf.
Access is annoying and parking is a pain, elevator goes to fitness first which is a waste of time if you want to go to officeworks
Kate at the print section is borderline rude. She also made up some other stuff in front of her colleague when actually didn't mention that to me. Made me wait 10 minutes when she has happy to serve next 7 walk in customers but for some reason forgot my order and didn't do anything about it!
Terrible website. I have tried to order off it for years and it’s never worked correctly. Save your time and use Amazon.
Went there this morning to get my passport photo, the lady was rude and she definitely doesn’t know what she is doing and what’s the service for. She is not knowledgeable and helpful and acting rude and unacceptable. Never ever try this one. Go to other branches or Australia Post for this purpose.

I went to this store today. (12 Oct 22) to purchase a pc, chair and a cabinet for my office.
David was extremely helpful and kind. He assisted me greatly with my purchase.
Highly recommended store and ask for David. He is very knowledgeable about computers.

I visited your store today, 12/11/22 to seek some help with the workings of my Epsom printer.
I want to thank a staff member & his manager who both took time out to clear up the problem of finding English on my keyboard. I am so appreciative of their kindness & patience. Please pass this message on to them.
I knew it was bad before covid getting served in Dee Why Officeworks but waited for 10 minutes today for one scanned document with one other person being served before me and I was next in line! There were at least 7 officeworks employees walking around seemingly doing not much at all. In the end I gave up and left. Terrible customer service but they just don’t look as though they care.
Let me start by disclaiming - I have an alternate motive in writing this review - That is - I NEED to get involved in the pioneering community engagement work which #Wesfarmers does via Officeworks. (Eventually see attached photos) This motive is not self serving - but rather volunteering in the community.
That out of the way - I can honestly say they deserved this rating. Let me justify:
1 for Great Prices. PLUS another
1 for Amazing knowledgeable, prompt and thoughtful Sales Service. PLUS Another 2 for Staff Positive Attitude.and as I mentioned before a final 5th for Community Engagement.
Called up after misplacing a receipt for a transaction a few weeks back.
Could hear that the store was busy in the background of the call, but David took the time to locate and send a copy of the receipt to me.

Had an ACER laptop that had a terminal failure after 40 days only to be told that they couldn't exchange it, only send away for assessment. Did the same at JB HI-FI and was exchanged after a 30 second assessment. Know where I'll shop from now on.
Rude and unhelpful manager. Rang (on hold for 10 minutes) specifically to check information before I drove to this store only to find I had been given incorrect info despite the woman checking with someone else. Ok, that happens, but Manager didn't care, accused me of lying, he was the only one with the phone, apparently, and walked away from me. No apology for the wasted trip and no effort to train staff. Double checked the number I rang, definitely Officeworks Dee Why. Will not be back in a hurry - plenty of other places to spend my money.
Poor management of stock. Literally, the last 2 times I've been to this store, I've grabbed a display item off the shelf only to get to the counter, wait for 10mins why staff try to find the item and then be told it's not actually in stock and needs to be ordered-in/is available at another store (today it was a portable hard drive). One staff member thought it was funny to pull one they did have out from the cupboard to show me they do have 1 in stock but that it was on-hold for another customer, commenting "we do have them in stock but I can't sell this one". Talk about rubbing salt in the wound! Staff here need to update their display items or tag them as out of stock and stop wasting customers time. Very frustrating experience.
Horrific service. Four people in the queue with lots of items, one person behind the counter, three other useless teenage staff standing around doing nothing and showing no initiative.
