Oddies Creek Park reviews
55Such an amazing place for kids! Many things to play for fun. We spent 2 hours here. Small school kids can enjoy with many different options.
What a beautiful area to spend the afternoon after a long trip. Worth it and I am sure you guys will like it too
Great place to stop over on the Canb <-> Melb journey if you have kids. Nice big, open play area with lots of interesting things for them to walk/run/jump around on. All in an enclosed area with tables and lots of shaded grass space to picnic on, if that's your thang.
Outside on this is an enormous parkland all the way to the river with massive trees, close proximity parking, and decent toilets that look like they'd double as an island refuge when the Murray bursts its banks.
The pool, nearby, is also pretty great.
Good place to keep kids (2 to 6) entertained.bit of park, food, nature.if need be, there is Music for Kids nearby.
Truly wonderful, unique playground. Lots of space and lots of variety. The long flying fox and climbing pyramid are always popular but the standout for older kids is the bouldering ‘rock’. For the route up, all 4 faces have hand holds (one being a challenging overhang) and the gently sloping top (and 5th) face makes for ‘round trips’ up and down the apparatus. There are also bbqs and picnic tables inside the fenced area. Outside the gate is a toilet block with kids and adults toilets in each cubicle and kids and adults taps outside. Really great facilities.
A great place for the kids to run around and burn off some energy, good range of activities for all different ages.
Perfect playground for the kids and yound adults alike! There's a bbq and picnic table for family gatherings and birthday parties for kids. The place is surrounded with trees and is like a 10-15 minute walk from the River Deck Cafe which is located near the river bank.
Very large park with many options safe options to keep kids busy while you stop for toilets and cook up lunch. Plenty of parking and grassed areas. Fuel and food close by and the river is next door. Will stop here again for a break, kids enjoyed themselves.
Truly amazing playground.
This is one of the biggest and best playgrounds we've come across and definitely a great stop if visiting Albury.
There are 2 giant cubby house style constructions. The main one had zig zagging walkways winding up to the top. Due to its massive size my 4 year old became lost in it and at first found it hard to find me again. It didn't stop her though as she continued exploring all it had to offer. Her favourite place was a hidden ladder from the top of the cubby house that went all the way down into the underground section. That's right, this playground has an underground section that the kids absolutely loved!
My 10year old loved the net swing that rotated as it swung from side to side. It was near impossible to get him off it.
There's a great rock climbing section too. Just keep any eye out as lots of kids could climb up easily, but found it hard to get back down.
Other things on offer at playground:
- flying fox
- large sand pit
- multiple slides
- musical equipment
- hidden path of trees
- two rope climbing frames
We visited this playground 3 times during our 4 days in Albury and my daughter cried everytime we had to leave.
We arrived by 8: 30am each day and there were a few families already there. By 10am it was filled with familes so it's best to go early.
What's nearby:
-Noreuil park Foreshore walk and playground.
- open parklands with BBQs
The best playground I've seen so far. My child loved it! There's lots of room to run around as well.
Whilst I only met some friends there to allow their dog to have a run.the facilities available looked great.
Great playground with a variety of equipment for kids aged 2-10. Pram friendly. Parking lot for approximately 20 cars. Lots of sensory play available.
It's agood place to take the dog for a walk but the area near the road needs a fence for safety as a child could run on to the road with a deadly out come.
I was just passing through and decided to stop and have something to eat and rest. The park was my choice. Lovely little place. If you ever pass by, stop and check it out. I am sure you're gonna like it.
Lovely setting but as a off leash park I believe a fence would be a good idea as some dogs like to chase people riding their bikes. And unfortunately some riders like to kick those dogs instead of stopping. I believe a fence would solve this problem for both parties.
Good Park for the kids, just got to put up with the homeless people outside the playground at bbq's.
So fresh here.
This place is located just on the VIC NSW BORDER.
The river divides and run through the border region.
As of today, 09 September2021, the area sees small water lodging and flood in the river and it blocks the pathway for pedestrians.
