OCEAN BAR cantina reviews
21Cute little tapas bar opposite the beach. Wide variety of food on the menu, although bear in mind they do not make any alterations to their food. The food was tasty and the service was friendly. The only issue we did have was all the adults food arrived pretty quickly and we waited over 1hr for the kids meals (that’s a nightmare with starving kiddos). Street parking only. Reservations are recommended.
Jerome and the staff were fantastic. Had to do a delivery, they turned a tough day into an enjoyable afternoon. Definitely a little haven tucked away. Thank you team.
Great restaurant, ample drink choices, friendly staff, fabulous food. Ate nachos, chicken wings, broccoli, steak and finished up with a creme brulee. Staff fabulous.
Went here on a Saturday night. Ordered the marinated octopus, patatas bravas, crispy pork belly, sirloin, garlic prawns.
Firstly the post mix cola that I ordered tasted horrid, not sure what off brand is being used but it's definitely not Coca cola or Pepsi.
The tapas started out within about 10-15 minutes of ordering which was good.
Marinated octopus- bland, tasted of lemon and charcoal.
Patatas bravas- potatoes were not crispy or even cooked all the way though.
"Crispy" pork belly- the skin was far from being crispy, although it did taste quite good with the cauliflower puree.
Sirloin- no complaints with this, tasted great, cooked to medium rare as asked
Garlic prawns- overcooked and the sauce which they were in tasted as if it could have come from a jar of salsa dip.
Second time that I have enjoyed a liesurely weekend lunch. As a lover of tapas, the food is consistently fantastic. Cocktails were great and the service perfect. Worth the drive up from Sydney.
Lovely Spanish restaurant serving tapas and paella. Cant go wrong with churros for dessert either. Wish we were there on a night for the live music.
This is a fantastic place for some great food and a few drinks. The staff are very attentive and create an exceptional atmosphere. Such a great location too, straight across from the Copacabana beach.
WHAT AN AMAZING RESTAURANT… they were busy but communicated that so well and each staff member including the owner took their time to chat and have a laugh… the chef/kitchen staff must be complimented for the food it was delicious… and 100% try their cocktails or the OCEANS lager
Thank you for a great afternoon
Lovely staff and atmosphere. Our favourite paella full of flavour, seafood, chicken and chorizo. Bonus that the kids love the food from the kids menu.
I have been there a number of times and plan to go back a number of times. Food great, staff great! Atmosphere great!
This place is amazing. We ordered the barramundi tacos, chorizo croquettes and the pinchos de pollo (chicken skewers) - everything was amazing but the chicken skewers were truly a highlight. The owners are so friendly and warm - it’s a lovely experience. A must try if you’re in the area.
This is a great tapas bar which serves up fresh and tasty food, coupled with a great drinks selection. Service was prompt and friendly. Will be back:)
Great location, relaxed atmosphere, nice Latin tunes. Had nibbles and sangria and spent the arvo enjoying the coastal vibes and sun
We moved to the Central Coast from Sydney in 2019 and have struggled to find a local restaurant that makes incredible gluten free food. Since sampling the menu last Christmas, we have not gone anywhere else. I cannot recommend the food and service enough.
We had a fantastic dinner. Rare to find a place in a great location (across the road from the beach) that has great food and drinks for adults and a great atmosphere (it was busy) as well as food service, that is also kid friendly (has a good kids menu and there were 4 different tables with kids when we were there).
Always loved eating at this restaurant.
Service & staff extremely competent.

Stumbled across this place as we had booked a weekend away at a hotel around the corner! We were so lucky they had room for us, great food and service! Thank you!
Right across from the beach it is a perfect location for dinner and drinks on a hot summers night
Great food (seafood combo, bbq octopus, empanada, chickpea fritters and daiquiri) and good story telling Well worth the visit!
Was there on Sunday. Ordered take away which was fine. I asked to order coffee but have it ready when the food was ready. The older lady there was quite rude and said it’s flat out, we can’t do that. I almost laughed.flat out? !? ! Mate if you were in Sydney you’d know flat out. I said fine, I’ll order coffee when the foods ready. I ask the young guy making coffees to order, he goes “what do you want” really rudely. Is that customer service? My initial reaction was I’d like some respect as a customer, but honestly was over it by then. Coffee was terrible also. Never going back there.
