Oasis Aquatic Centre reviews
27Myself and some friends paid $17 to swim in the pools but when we walked in both the outdoor and indoor pools were closed leaving just the kids pool open. I’m 20 years old so I didn’t particularly want to swim in the kids pool. I went straight to the counter to get a refund but was turned down. This is the only pool in wagga so it was very upsetting.
Parking is a bit ordinary, and there's a walk to get from the parking into the centre, which can be problematic if it's raining. Other than that, the facilities are good, the pool is always clean, and the staff are just plain AWESOME!
The only downside is the usual parents on their phones being self absorbed flogs whilst their kids run amok. The lifeguards do an excellent job in policing unruly children when they don't have to. So, do us all a favour, including the staff, and be a parent.
Highly recommend the facilities as a whole.
I visited the aquatic centre last week and was very impressed by its facilities. The centre has a large indoor pool with different lanes for swimming, diving and water aerobics. The water temperature was comfortable and the pool was clean and well-maintained. There is also a smaller pool for children and a jacuzzi for relaxing. The centre offers various classes and programs for all ages and skill levels, such as learn-to-swim, aqua fit, and more. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the locker rooms were spacious and modern. I enjoyed my time at the aquatic centre and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and healthy activity. The centre has big shower areas. At the time of my visit there was an event ongoing in the outdoor pool conducted by taskforce 72 scale model ship association which happens on annual basis. Its a fun event where there are multiple boats with precise features remotely controlled by pilots are run in the water.
Lots of options for swimming and note that the Cafe is not open - they are chasingsomeoneto lease it.
Great pools, staff are friendly. Heated pool for hydrotherapy is great. Kids pool is popular also.
Nice place to visit with the kid's or for a swim on your own.
Only downfall is Kiosk staff very disinterested in their job, very unnatentive and kiosk area filthy, while staff play on their mobile phones.
Big shout out to swimming instructor Helen @ Oasis! She is the most lovely human, who is really passionate & really cares about her lessons. She had our boys, 3 & 5 (who can be a nightmare!) both taught really quickly. She builds great relationships with the little ones instantly! My wife & I really recommend her.
The pool it great by itself but the cafeteria was the worst they worm the pies? In the microwave no chips just patato scallops that's it sad, council need to step the game up.
Great place and good water although it tasted weird. Water looked weird from a kid dropping some yellow gatorade in the pool and it tasted better than the drinks there!
A great place to swim, learn to swim, bring the kids, do aqa aerobics & more. Heated indoor pools, hot showers and kiosk, swim shop. For all ages.
Absolutely fantastic one of the best I've ever been to. Facilities second to none 2 inside pools and a heated 50 mtre outdoor pool. Lots of shade and a well equipped gym. I with be coming here every day.
Had a great swim in the hydrotherapy pool. Also great teacher for my sons swimming lessons. I also love that I have unlimited entry during the swim term
Very disappointed way to wet water every where the pool had way to Mach water in it and very hard to practice my deep diving
Unable to book lessons up front with a deposit to hold date/time unless you agree to direct debit. Unable to use active vouchers for intensive lessons hence wagga c council should be working with state govt to make lessons cheaper and more available to kids from families earning less than 80k p.a and ensure oasis is fairer with their payment demands. Even catholic schools are not bringing kids for lessons due to costs to parents. Swimming lessons should be a free and compulsory part of education pdhpe from k_12 for all schools in Australia whether public or otherwise.my kids have missed out in 2020/2021 some staff are ok but othersha ve been unwatchful when I sought-after their attention while in the pool and council has failed. Parking is difficult for elders or disabled wanting to use hydro and covid restrictions had kids from separate families not socialising at all. So my friends 2 grand children and my children could not play together even though they could meet at my house in November. We miss the water slide. But the facilities are very nice and I note some pleasant teachers.
Good facilities for training and for kids/families. Opening times are good during summer but too limited in winter.
This place is awsome, a Large outdoor pool, diving boards, whirly pool and many other dun sections.
Helpful and friendly staff, great environment and a much needed water feature in Wagga.
However, I cannot recommend this place.
1- the pools are not clean, one can see dead insects, wood chips and other things on water,
2- no chlorine pools to decontaminate one’s feet coming from outside, specially the outdoors playground
3- poor hygiene in total.
We were looking forward to this place, but sadly our visit was cut short due to hygiene problems.
Pools are great, staff is friendly and doing a great job during these covid times. Food is tasty but a little overpriced
Big facility and beautiful but similar to most recreation centers has no recycle bins for public. I've been told by the receptionists that the recycle bins are kept at the back of the centre!
Later, I checked few of the waste bins and noticed recycle items such as drinking bottles, papers, and etc in them. What a disaster!
This is very heartbreaking to see how we are all destroying and damaging our amazing country while a simple action can save lots of environmental impacts in the future.
The earlier we deal with this problem the less we will be blamed by the future generations.
