Nundle Woollen Mill reviews
29 We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the shop here. They have a good selection of craft and clothing items. The staff were patient, helpful and friendly.
We'll pop in again on our next trip to Nundle.
A lovely factory full of history. The retail store has a wide range of items to buy. Beautiful yarns.
What a great find. Having little interest in knitting/wool I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the tour of the facility with a very knowledgable Nick. Great work and support the business.
History in action, very informative. Staff are friendly and helpful. All that's needed is a pop-up coffee shop and it'll be perfect.
My wife loves the place. I found it very interesting, hope to see the machines working next time. That would be awesome.
Lovely yarn, shame about the customer service. I contacted them with an issue - I bought multiple hanks of yarn, that came twisted together in small batches. One set tangled as I untwisted them as it had a strand that was in two different hanks (no idea how that even happens, but one of the two hanks had a couple of other minor issues so I'm guessing a Friday afternoon job). I provided a photo of the two joined hanks and wasn't even acknowledged.
Worth a visit to the wool mill, amazing people and had a wonderful tour of the mill. So much wool, clothing, and nick nacks available. What a great way to support Australia made and small towns.
Purchased sock yarn online, it was dispatched promptly with a handwritten thank you note from the staff. Happy customer.
Fantastic place to visit. The only workkng mill of it's kind in Australia. Free tour, very interesting.
What a wonderful experience we had visiting Nundle Woollen Mill. Informative tour, beautiful products for sale, highly recommended. There is a coffee shop nearby.
A nice shop with friendly staff and the history of the machinery is interesting. It'd be nice if the hat I bought was made locally at the woolen mill but I can't expect everything in the shop to be made there. It's a nice hat. Thank you.
I've been to the mill a few times and have ordered online too. I have to say the service in person is wonderful. The service online is even better! I received my second parcel today and it's wonderful to receive a personal, hand written note along with it.
As for the quality of the wool.it really is beautiful. It's soft and easy to work with and the colour range is excellent! Keep up the good work!
Great the only place in Tamworth where I can get wooden knitting needles, staff were great very helpful, pleasent and freindly, love this place great day out
What a beautiful place and very affordable items. I would love to see the machinery working. It runs from Monday to Friday.
Don't know if I'm out of touch but the prices were way up there for the garments. Didn't expect that given the mill is run by volunteers.
What a gem of a place. Kept our 4 year old fascinated with the machines. Place was recommended by my patient and so glad we came and checked it out. Nundle is so beautiful.
So very excited to see Australian grown fleece carded, spun and dyed in this iconic mill being produced to such a high standard of yarn
The colour and ply selection is an amazing display of stunning shades so many to choose from. Well worth the trip to this Woollen Mill and the beautiful village of Nundle NSW Australia
Great place to visit and a informative demonstration and talk on the making of wool from sheep to yarn. Highly recommend
Absolutely fantastic place! So awesome to see the last Woollen Mill in Australia in action! You gotta come here! Awesome wool products too!
