Can’t speak highly enough of the staff at headquarters. They have to work through and put up with a lot.

Very unhappy with NSW SES. Due to high winds a brick wall dividing my pool and driveway had fallen over. I contacted the SES to be advised they would prioritise the matter to the local unit due to the obvious public safety concern. I waited around all day. I called back to be advised the matter was escalated to a pool safety officer at Council. I received no phone call or update from SES. Instead, a pool safety order from Council. Thanks for your help NSW SES, you've just made my life extremely difficult if it wasn't already difficult enough. Next time I'll give my dog a call for assistance.

Hi everyone,
I write this review about the paid staff of the NSW SES.
Not the Volunteers, they are a great bunch of people helping the community.

There are issues with privacy. Volunteers (including minors) can have their personal phone numbers home/mobile and email addresses searched up with no audit trail. Ask them about the EOS directory.
Volunteers are put through hoops because the paid people have no idea what is going on.
The NSW SES purchasing system has not audit function, there is no tracking of where authorisations are up to.
There is no reconciliation of systems.
Donations made to Units for specific purposes now must be spend on repairs and maintenance of their headquarters, not the purpose for which the funds were raised.
Volunteers must use their own mobile phones to respond to calls for assistance.
Despite a ruling from the ATO, they believe that Volunteers are subject to FBT.
They have let the lunatics run the asylum.

Zero stars for the State Headquarters!

No conflict of interest - I neither work for the NSW SES or Volunteer for them. They have never visited my house. I know people who Volunteer and also some that are paid. These are my views, no one else's.

Cheers Mike.
