NRMA Car Servicing Wollongong

Very helpful people, all I needed was a rego safety check, and it took less than 30 mins to obtain especially at this time of year. Will definitely be back again if required in future Thank you!

If there were a lower star I would give it. Honestly was a bit shocked to take my car for a pink slip, motorserve Wollongong said $2697 to pass. My boyfriend took the car somewhere else, passed with no issue. I was devastated and felt manipulated.

I had my car booked in this morning at the Wollongong Motorserve, I had received a confirmation email with date and time, when I arrived I was told by two very rude misogynistic men I was not booked in, they tried to bully me then told me a mechanic had called in sick.
This behaviour is completely unacceptable after this service I will never book my car into a motorserve again, I am a regular NRMA six monthly customer.

Massive thank you to John for getting us back on the road after our alternator died. He found my car there on Saturday morning after it got dropped off by the tow truck the night before. He went out of his way to find a replacement part and get it fitted so our South coast holiday could be salvaged. Legend!

Excellent service. Car service I can totally rely on. It's a shame Shellharbour centre closed down.

Can be challenging to get parking.so go early. BUT; very professional, great communication and excellent work.

Great for getting car serviced

Only issue is when advised we needed a seal replaced was not told how quickly this would need to be done.

Car went in for a service. Was told it needed some repairs but was safe to drive while they ordered parts. It wasn't and broke down a week later. Car was out of action for 10 days. When I got the car back it was in a worse condition, made terrible noises. Also the engine oil dipstick was missing. They'd lost parts of my car. Motorserve said they'd find a replacement. Another weeks goes by, no word. When I call for an update they then say a universal one which has to be fitted to my vehicle is on its way. It arrives a few days later and they have no idea how to modify it to fit my vehicle, get it stuck in the engine. I say this is no good. Needs to be one that was made for my car. Another day goes by & they say they've modified the universal to fit my car. I go in, they fit it, I take a look, pull it out and it snaps immediately because its held together by electrical tape. I was not happy with this ridiculous fix. At this point i'd had enough; they'd lost parts of my car, tried to do a shoddy fix and I didn't trust the service and the other so-called repair work they had already done on the car. I called NRMA to complain only to be told that NRMA don't own Motorserve and they can't do anything about it. As that was the only reason I was going to Motorserve in the first place, an apparently trustworthy company I was not pleased. I called Motorserve to complain and they said they were owned by a different company but still part of NRMA. All very confusing.and obviously no complaint process in place.
I ended up replacing my car. And would highly recommend avoiding motorserve wollongong and any other motorserves, NRMA or not.

Essential Service.
All additional filters and engine oil have a very high mark up price. Synthetic oil 4.6l for 92$, engine air filter 82$.
Similar products from other sources online at a very low compared price.
Will definitely go back to them if they allow me to source required parts on my own.

My recent experience with NRMA for log book service and e-safety check was totally disappointing. They gave me a Fail on the e-safety check with a reason of requiring for tyre replacements. Then I went to other tyre shop and got an advice that the tyres of my car are still in a good condition and no need for any replacement in the present. I went back to the NRMA again and got the e-Safety check changed into Pass. When I reviewed the invoice of this service, I found that one of the previous replaced parts is still listed on their recommended product.

So I really doubt on their car service quality!

Have used these guys a number of times and have had reliable and trustworthy service every single time!

My experience with NRMA was really disappointing. A minute after my car got serviced and fixed, the lights were already on. Had to pay a (big) extra, with no explanation whatsoever. The front person (Michael) was quite rude and misogynistic. I don't recommend this car servicing, and will go to a small independent business next time!

I recently booked in my car at NRMA Motor Servicing in Wollongong for a Re-Gas of the air conditioning. We had an appointment booked from 8am to 12pm and we arrived early - they let us drop off the car earlier which I like and also finished earlier than 12pm and they called and left a message advising. Not only was the work completed on the car amazing but so was the customer service that was provided. I would definitely use their services again and recommend to anyone I know.

Excellent care - professional; knowledgeable and courteous and timely attention from the NRMA. It is so much appreciated.

Competitive, transparent and I even got a coffee and a lift home while they were busy with my car. Took longer than promised and I had to take it back again as they missed something.but all in all they made up for it in both service and price. Troy at the front desk deserves a mention for his professionalism and top notch customer service!

My NRMA Motorserve has always treated me with kindness and respect. I've even had a gentlemen worker offer me coffee while i waited for my husband to pick me up! And thats just the service in the office. The work they do on my car is great. Its quick, being completed within a day. Price wise they are good, if not great (Not sure why people say the pricing is bad. If things needs to be replaced, they NEED to be replaced). Ive had terrible experiences with other mechanics who have ripped me off something fierce. But my NRMA has never failed me. Thank you to the team in the Wollongong Motorserve for never letting me down. You're a great bunch of people and you will be my chosen Motorserve for many years to come.

Fairly price competitive after member discount. Sometimes you have to wait a while at reception only because the guys are busy. To us, if a mechanics' busy then other people also have confidence in their service.

The NRMA Service Centre Wollongong is very polite, they also have excellent work time management so your car will be ready for when you need it. The NRMA Service Centre Wollongong, will not miss a thing in your car service, ensuring your driving safely on the road. I thoroughly recommend them. My daughter now is following in my shoes and has her car serviced there too.

Excellent service work, price was very competitive, completed job on time, were very friendly and helpful. Won't go back to dealership again-NRMA is my service centre from now on!
