My most recent experience with Motorserve Padstow really highlighted to me how fantastic the team there is. I was kept informed with what was happening with my car and when it was found to not be safe for the road, I was asked to come down in person so they could explain and show what their concerns were. Everything was explained to me in layman's terms (which I appreciated immensely as I have scant knowledge about cars), their concerns were expressed about the safety of the vehicle and why and they had ensured to contact me prior to doing any repairs so in the end resulted on me not having to pay for anything. (Immense thanks for being patient with keeping my car onsite for almost 2 weeks while I figured out what to do with my car too!)
I couldn't rate the service higher, the staff I interacted with were all lovely, professional and personable. I'll definitely be making them my new go to mechanic from now on!

If you’re looking to book a service or pink slip in, Motorserve Padstow is definitely a great option. I conveniently booked a time online and took my car in. Scott at the front desk was extremely helpful and provided exceptional customer service. I was quoted prior to leaving and was ensured that if any additional products or services were required I would be contacted. Scott called me to advise me my car had failed inspection (which was expected as I hadn’t serviced my car in sometime and am not very good at taking care of it) and provided a range of options and quotes. This was very reassuring as in the past at other mechanics, additional large costs have been added without consultation, leading to a big shock when it’s time to pay. I received a text at the agreed upon pick up time to advise my car was ready. All the paperwork was complete upon arrival and I even received a 10% as I am an NRMA member. Thank you for the great service!

Took my car for a standard oil change and was told it needed 3 more services like an engine timing belt service and wheel alignment, got the car back and it started failing on me.

Way too pricy
I got my car serviced there, they recommended seven more repairs/part replacements the recommendations looked reasonable but the prices were not. So I checked some other options.
I did few of them by myself (the very simple ones) and used other services for the rest.
I saved in total $1348 (43% less than Motoserve's quote)
among those repairs, they recommended a driveshaft replacement due to the seal leaking grease for $704. I asked why can't they replace the seal (I knew it's possible and the driveshaft seal cost 40, the whole driveshaft cost 250) ? They answered "we don't repair driveshafts we just replace them". The mechanic who did replace the seal charged me 246 (for the seal and labour).
Considering that seal replacement requires more working time than driveshaft replacement, 704 is a total rip-off (drive shaft replacement takes less than a hour).
They also said: we checked your spark plugs and they have to be replaced. 1. I could tell that non of the spark plugs was opened (3 of 4 are hidden behind the intake manifold that hasn't been removed and the third was covered by red dust I collected in the bush) 2.the manufacturer recommends replacing spark plugs every 100,00 km, there is no other reason to remove the spark plug and check it before that unless something is wrong with the engine. The right thing to do was asking me about the last time the spark plugs were replaced and provide recommendations according to my answer.

Do not recommend motorserve Padstow. Absolutely ropable. Was told that I needed an air conditioner compressor completely replaced a few weeks ago. Was quoted $2555. Ended up taking my car to a specialised auto electrician air conditioning expert. Who then advised that it was a re-gas and defilter. Worth $360.never will go back to motorserve. Obviously taking advantage of women.

Took my Holden to get a logbook service/trans flush and change a light blub I had supplied. I did ask for the old light bulb so I knew they changed the correct light. They forgot but gave me two new lights free of charge. There was a dint I didn't notice before but they were kind enough to check their cameras and I was satisfied that it didn't happen there. Appreciate the salesperson 'Ben' for taking the time to make sure everything was right. Only thing is that i wished the carwash was working lol.

Bad experience at Padstow Motoserve. Booked in to get new brakes. No curtesy call to say it was going to take an extra day because they couldn’t get the parts. Don’t they know if they have the brakes for that model car at the time of it being booked in? Anyway had to cancel a workshop that i was booked in to do. Two days they’ve had the car. Picked it up this afternoon, no apology for not calling and letting me know what was going on. I would have been ok if I’d have received a simple sorry for mucking you around. Instead I get a, “Here you go no worries”, keys passed to me. Really is a terrible customer service. Our family have been taking our cars to Padstow Motoserve for about 6-7 years. No more. Never again!

4 hours in waiting and car still not ready. Apparently they got wrong oil. Couldnt care less as advised car was needed and i would be waiting
No updates on service times even when they told me 2 hours into service that car was ready
4 hours now and no one makes eye contact incase i ask for update

Came in for Essential service. They knew car isn't used much and Tyers were getting low as well as breaks but not low enough to be of concern. They let me know my tyers and breaks needed to be changed on next service instead of pressuring me to buy new ones straight away.
Really appreciated their professionalism. Definitely will be coming back.
Im guessing they knew car isn't driven much by previous km reading on service sticker.

I took my car here as part of an insurance claim. When I got it back there was damage on the front bumper that was not there before. They also put permanent marker on the doors and wheels despite the fact that the only repair work needed was on the rear bumper. My car is in worse condition now than it was before I gave it to them.

Easy to deal with. Easy to drop off and pick up. A nice hybrid between a small local place and a bigger dealership. Appreciate their advice

Quick and easy booking and drop off. No drama to drop off at 7: 30am and pick up at 5: 15pm. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff and great customer service. Very happy with my experience.

Dont bother with these guys for anything outside of an oil change. Took my jeep there with a oil leak and it came back with a new oil leak (estimated $1000 to fix) and a scraping sound in the engine. Took it back twice only to be told they can't hear the newly introduced sound despite showing them a video with the sound. (No one would come out and listen to it with me). They lubed up the drive belts which were fine and sent it off. Spent over $600 for this poor service.
