My son has been attending Hornsby Northcott for some years, and he loves it. It gets him out of bed in the mornings because he doesn't want to miss anything! They have a lovely centre, good communication, lots of great activities for recreation and life skills, and the support staff are wonderful with him.

I am a support worker at Northcott Hornsby and love coming into work every morning. I look forward to seeing the customers everyday as well as the other support workers. The centre has a great environment and is filled with laughter throughout the day.

Our daughter has been a very enthusiastic participant in the Northcott life skills programme. She particularly enjoys her interactions with the other participants, as well as cooking, shopping, swimming, Meals on Wheels that enables her to contribute to the community. The staff communicate clearly and give ample notice of changes to plans.

Working in this supportive and culturally diverse environment is a blessing for me as a support worker. Seeing our customers smiling, sharing laughter, and enjoying the activities they enjoy makes my heart smile too. I am thankful for this fantastic opportunity.

Our son has attended SLES at Hornsby since leaving school during the pandemic. This meant that the programme had to be adjusted accordingly in the first year. But when restrictions were lifted, the employability skills, learned during lockdown, bore fruit. After a successful work experience opportunity organised by the Northcott team, our son was offered paid work with the work experience employer.
He has gained work readiness skills and friendships on this programme which have set his post school life off to a very good start.

My son attends the Skills for Life program. He really enjoys attending this group. He has grown within himself since attending, he has gained more confidence and showing the want for independence. He says “ I feel included”
The staff are fantastic, providing attention to each clients needs. The environment is warm and inviting, making it very easy to leave my son in their care.

Shocking service. Harassment and badgering of clients whilst simultaneously not providing opportunities or support. 2 years and not 1 interview was set up. When you do find employment of your own accord, they send paperwork all the time, making you sign as if they found or did the work placement. Continue to schedule appointment on books, even though you haven't received benefits in 6 months. One can only think they do so to receive fraudulent funding.
