Reception staff are efficient and very communicative, friendly and reassuring. Radiologists were caring and professional. Taking time to reflect explain what was happening and checking in with how you are feeling

This morning I went to Nth Shore Radiology & Nuclear medicine at the Hub, I found the staff there delightful and helpful, then the radiologist who was doing my difficult ultra sound was very good, then in came the doctor, Dr Ranjani Reddy and oh my goodness, she was SO kind and calm and so, so competent, Just wonderful, cant speak highly enough of her. She made the whole difficult situation not nearly as stressful as it could have been. What a beautiful and talented human being. Wish there were lots more like her around, it would make being ill so much easier!

The reception staff were just so delightful & helpful, we were really early but no problem we had a coffee & toast & returned, was then called in on time where all staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful.
It was a pleasure to attend your Pathology Centre & would have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone.

Giving two stars for the lovely radiologists who did my actual contrast CT scan. I am leaving this review today as the receptionist Pauline, whom I dealt with was unprofessional, rude and condescending.

I arrived at 8: 30am for my 8: 45am appointment, 15 minutes earlier as the text advised. I followed the signage instructions to sign in on the ipad and await my turn. However, I realised that I've had a change of name recently due to marriage and I should inform the desk prior in case there are any issues with matching my new name to my medicare card. This booking was made more than a month ago and reflected my maiden name.

I saw that Pauline was free so I wanted to ask if she could help, but she rudely told me to sit down and wait my turn. She then pointed to the screen and said "Is your name there? Then wait your turn, we will call you. " She was not listening to my question at all which was that 1) my name changed and 2) if there would be an issue and whether 3) I needed to fill out any extra forms. I was not interested in cutting the line, I just wanted some guidance.

After a few back and forth, she reluctantly helped me and continued to condescendingly correct me and not listening to my questions. These included "forget about your name, what is your name NOW" and then stopping and telling me that my name has to match my medicare card.which is the sole reason as to why I even asked her in the first place for assistance.

Confused, she told me to fill in some forms and sit down. I did and noticed my name was no longer on the waiting list so I wanted to double check if it's all sorted, as I didn't want to miss my appointment by human error - she again snapped at me and said "YES I HAVE DEALT WITH YOU, SIT DOWN AND THEY WILL CALL YOU. "

I'm sorry but in what world is this patient care and providing basic common respect and manner?

This gets worse - after almost an hour (9: 20AM) since I arrived, to which I noticed everyone arriving after me has gone in was when I had a sinking feeling she may have made an error and my name was no longer on the waiting list. Asking her again for help, she tried to brush me off and telling me to wait - I said my appointment is at 8: 45am and it's now almost an hour since I arrived.

She then ran to the back and came with another staff and said something about my profile and my name change.

Eventually a nurse came out to get me and addressed me as "KARA ONG". Not to mention my last name is not ONG. Pauline noticed this and corrected the nurse saying "Carol".

I'm honestly not sure what happened there or what the mistake is on the system but Kara and Carol are definitely two different names.

Yes, lengthy review but I sincerely hope the staff at the front can be trained to respect and understand different names from different cultures, instead of assuming that anyone ethnic coming in to ask questions don't understand English and do better in being trained across name changes.

No one should be punished because their name changed because they got married or in my instance where it was a double whammy, as I also added my English name (Carol) to my name change so it wasn't just my surname that needed an update.

I also overheard another receptionist that morning telling an old Asian man, "YOUR ENGLISH IS NOT VERY GOOD". I'm honestly very shocked - Australia is a multicultural country where we all come from different cultures and sometimes, the older generation is not fluent in English. Nobody needs to be called out like that.

Great Healthcare Provider, staff is professional, kind and friendly (exactly what you need from here). I've been coming here for about 20 year for regular diagnostics screening. Not one bad experience out of the many visits. Very professional is what matters to me.

Really poor service at the front desk. All receptionists are rude and incompetent. They always have attitude and don’t know what they’re doing. Zero recommendation. Unbelievable.

As a nurse educator it is always pleasing to see health care professionals providing excellent service, professionalism and proficiency in their skill set. Well done.

Extremely disappointed. Staff/ nurses didn’t care. Left me with blood running from my arm. After removing angiocat. The dye they used gave me hypertension. I have been experiencing anxiety, hypertension and palpitations. Extremely bad. My last time going there ever?

Really horrible experience with the staff here. My specialist wrote a referral and put a medicare item no on there. Was told my the chief Heidi that it wasn't rebatable and she suggested I get an ultrasound first & see if that showed the issue. Things were still inconclusive and my specialist asked why I didn't get the MRI. They then told me to call back the MRI place & tell them it should be rebatable. I don't mind having a decent conversation but when I called back today, spoke to Glen & told him I just wanted to know and book the apt anyway as I was very concerned and had been sent round the houses already - he told me I was "just a voice on the phone at this point" (great bedside manner Glen, you should work with people.). I said could I book anyway as I needed it done whether it was rebatable or not, and he said I don't book apts. I called back and booked an apt myself (to a lady who was actually very nice, Ashley?) Then someone called Jasmine called and left a VM "they're not covered my medicare, I want to make it absolutely clear you're not booked in at this stage and there will be a cost". So not only had she cancelled the apt I needed, the tone in her voice sounded like I was a criminal for requesting a review into what my specialist said should be medicare rebated, a simple "I understand there had been confusion but. " conversation would have been the decent thing to do. It seems the front line staff in the booking team are nice but certainly Glen and Jasmines condescending tones have put me off and I'm looking into whether I can book elsewhere rather than go to such a place. Not a friendly exp at all from those two.

Had an ultrasound appointment at 10am yesterday, the lady who started ultrasound for me wanted to get the second opinion so she told me "Jane" will looking after the rest. After finishing the ultrasound Jane asked me to change my clothes in the bathroom while there was even not a bench in there. I had to put my staff on the floor in the bathroom to get changed. When l came back from there there was no patient in the room, and when l complaint to Jane she didn't even apologized she started laughing! That was so unprofessional and roud, so disappointed with customer service: (

I normally dont write review but the experience I've got in this center is just RUDE! Especially one male technician, gave 1 star as the rest of the female staffs are lovely.

Came in for an Ultrasound appointment for my 2 month old baby. The indoor entrance was blocked off with a message to EITHER enter via main highway (pacific highway) OR to call a given number to get access inside. Bub was crying and I was on the phone so had to stay in front of the indoor entrance for a while, a female nurse finally let us in. Only to be greeted with a male technician telling us off and ask if I saw the sign to enter via another street.

YES i see the sign, but there's also an option to enter via indoor so long you gave the number a call. If cant be bothered opening the indoor door, better CHANGE YOUR instruction.

Furthermore, was given the rough paper towel to dry my baby's skin after the scan. I'd think being a little more understanding and empathy for a mum with a newborn will be appreciated.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE if you are bringing a baby!

The staff were friendly and made my 10 yr old daughter with a possible broken toe feel relaxed and comfortable. It is a daunting experience for a child and she would happily return for more scans!

Just came back from having an ultrasound and mammogram, it was not nearly as daunting as I thought. Pricey though! But I guess that is to be expected. Some direction after the treatment would be helpful (eg "please go the front desk to pay on your way out") as I am quite new to being in a hospital environment. Even if that sounds like absolute common sense there are some people (like me) that don't know how things get billed.
