Hi parents looking for tutoring places

I recently graduated high school in 2022 and have gone to this coaching school since I was in Year 10. So this review is first hand experience and catered for parents looking to enroll their kids in the senior years for HSC.

I can vouch that the teachers here absolutely care about your education and while they can push you at times it is with genuinely good intentions and I am very glad that they did. Also they are very friendly people who you can laugh with and get to know on a more personal level.

If you do not understand anything, they are more than willing to go out of their way to make sure you improve which only reflects their care for you and your education. I am very grateful for their time especially towards the final HSC exams and helped me reach my goals

I'm not sure if they still work here (about 10 years ago now), but Eddie the mathematics teacher was one the best teachers I ever had during my time with the HSC. I genuinely felt educated and understood the inner workings of mathematics, explained in a way which made sense to me.

Mona, the lady at the counter at the time, was always friendly and helpful.

Experienced the exact same thing as Paula's daughter when I was student at north shore (and this was years ago). The teacher made me feel dumber instead of helping me with my work, is very aggressive and does not deserve to teach at all. Her name was Ms Ting

As a student, attending this coaching school has significantly bettered my grades and understanding within a comfortable learning environment. The additional homework is helpful for revsion and my teacher is one of the best I've had. Out of the many tutoring centres I've attended, North Shore is the only one I've enjoyed coming to and in my opinion, is the most effective.

I would give this school a 0 if I could. I brought my daughter here so she could get help in achieving better than average grades. One day, my daughter told me that her teacher had singled her out. She made her feel dumber than the other children that had been in the school for some time. She was mocked and ridiculed. When I approached the coordinator, she didn't seem to care at all and I pulled her out on the spot. My daughter still speaks about it with tears in her eyes, this happened about 4 years ago. Seeing her upset breaks my heart as it would any parents, because you send them there for a better education in a setting which should be helpful and welcoming. Getting her a private tutor was the best thing I did for her. More expensive as an option, but your child will learn at their own pace, and get their questions answered without feeling that he/she doesn't belong.

If you are struggling with your HSC marks, do not come to this place. They will not help you at all with your school work. They will give you more work adding more unnecessary stress to an already stressful year.
