36Excellent walking path, great views of the light house and the city. If you want to walk at night the path is well lit, but only up to the breakwater.
An easy walk to a one of the best views in this baby city of the harbour, beaches and Stockton bridge. Don’t forget to look down…
The place was gorgeous, day time easy to navigate.
At night, the path lights only go to Lighthouse then no lighting out to the red light marker.
Ahhh I highly recommend you READ THE SIGNS B4 YOU GET ONTO THE BREAKWATER BIT (VERY SMALL BUT IMPORTANT) & DON'T PUT YOURSELF IN HARMS WAYS IF NOT THE RIGHT CONDITIONS.
The locals were very helpful along the harbourside to the breakwater pathway.
Terrific walk with the waves crashing onto the breakwater and views to the vast ocean. You can see a seal sitting on a buoy at the breakwater head. Good for fishing too. Path is easy, flat and well looked after, ideal for cyclists and walkers.
Recently renovated. Good walk. Apparently a seal resting place but didn't see any. Memorial messages all the way along
Quite a walk to visit the end, allow an hour to return; you witness deceased plaques long the way and be respectful to these rocks.
During the high wind weather events, this break wall is worth the observation about around wall when the weather hits the wall.
Beautiful place to just immerse in the sea. Definitely not a place to be missed when you are in NSW Newcastle.
Wonderful walk to the end point. Can also see large ships if you are lucky. Would love to live near by and go for a walk every single day. For the people who hate walking, they have bike stand near by where you can purchase the bike and ride.
A beautiful part of Newcastle also a great place to go for a walk or bike ride. It's a shame that some dog owners dont clean up after there dogs.
From witnessing sunrises, ships entering and leaving the harbour, even Opera singers singing to the sea gods from the rocks at the end of breakwall, this is a destination for walkers, joggers and sightseers alike.
Beautiful place! One of my faves in Nctle! Loved looking at all the sunsets when I've been there a lot the last few weeks! Stunning. Enjoy walking to the breakwall on my own
Absolutely beautiful place to visit, The bike paths are extraordinary to ride along all the way to the end and is wider for both pedestrians and bike's. I'll definitely be taking the grand kids next time
Great for a walk! Perfect spot to take in the beautiful harbour Thanks from Team BeLLCORP Property
Best location for walking and biking, fishing with easy access, great views, history, must visit destination in Newcastle Australia.
Whales only a few hundred metres off the breakwall and putting on a great show on our visit! Fantastic stuff - kids were thrilled.
This is a cool place to go for a walk. It gets busy, so make sure to go early in the morning. You have a lot of rocks there with remembrance signs.
A good walk from the beach to the end of the Breakwall. Particularly impressive when a heavily laden ship from the port leaves.
Great for people watching. Great for photography. Enjoyed watching the coal ships coming into the harbour. 10/10 would walk again.
This place it’s next to Nobby’s beach, and it’s amazingly! The rocks with information there, the strong windy and the landscape is incredible, we went by bike and the windy was so strong that it’s kind of difficult to pedal but the view worth it!
