We engaged NBG Landscapes to transform our tired and dated garden into a modern, inviting outdoor entertaining space. Together with James and his designer, Ivan, we were able to come up with a design and concept plan that is modern and functional. NBG provided excellent advice on the garden design and planting selection. We found the entire team at NBG to be professional, friendly, knowledgeable and importantly responsive. The work was carried out with great care and attention to detail and in a timely manner. We absolutely love our new garden and would highly recommend NBG Landscapes.

We had a 3 tiered backyard that required a fair bit of excavation and limited side access and the team took it in their stride. From start to finish NBG were extremely responsive, professional, punctual, clear communicators, very tidy, hard working and passionate about landscaping. All of this was shown in the quality of workmanship and pride each and every member of the team had with their craft. Having a young family and very busy schedules we needed a team that would make the process seamless and minimal hassle end to end. This is exactly what we got at NBG, whether it was dealing with suppliers, unpredictable Sydney weather, style tips, and going the extra distance visiting showrooms and sending pics interpreting our ideas. We used NBG Landscapes for a re-design of our terrace courtyard, as well as front of and side house. James and his team were so great to work with. From the get go, James was communicative and really listened to what we were after in the landscaping work while also giving so much input into the design vision. His team were really friendly and we could see they were working hard and making good progress every day. We are so happy with the finished product, and so glad we listened to Jame's advise along the way - would highly recommend!

James and his team designed and built our garden in Balmain. They were all always on time, worked hard and didn’t disappear when rain set in like many. Always very polite and great communication. Cleaned up immaculately after every day and most importantly completed the project on time and on budget with no surprise variations. Couldn’t recommend them more strongly!

We couldn’t recommend NBG landscapes more, from the start of our experience James was extremely efficient in getting back to us. After shopping around with numerous landscape design companies and being frustrated with the time wasted chasing up people. Our project was done on time within budget and the results were beyond our dreams. We could never have envisioned our backyard turning out like it did, we had a very awkward and unusable space and it was really hard for us to imagine it being a functional backyard, however the design team brought the dream to life, the carpenters did the most exceptional job and had the most amazing craftsmanship and skills and the landscape team had a passion for plants and bringing the final vision to life.

Along with the amazing skills the team were also lovely people to deal with and James has to be one of the most organised and efficient business owners I have ever come across. We can’t thank you enough NBG landscapes!

I have the guys from NBG landscapes regularly to maintain my garden which they do with great care. Always conscientious and friendly willing to tackle anything asked of them. I highly recommend them.

We have recently had a new garden built on the lower northern beaches following a new build. It was a difficult project and the garden looks absolutely amazing. A sincere thank you to James and his amazing team. NBG Landscapes were extremely professional and the quality of the work undertaken was exceptional. The team were polite, responsive, helpful and cleaned up at the end of each day. We were so impressed we have kept NBG Landscapes to continue the ongoing maintenance. The garden is giving my wife and I enormous pleasure.

Not flattering and this is why. Job finished and paid in June.

They said the grass that had been trampled would recover. It has not, another few thousand dollars after they had already charged me for replacement grass. Why wasn’t the lawn watering/not working properly. They buried one of the pop-ups under the lawn they laid.

At the end of winter, after they said the irrigation system they put in was to go twice a week, we had plants dying. Ground bone dry. Oh they installed the drip system with a hole (made by a cut) so big most of the system did not work. More new plants and a beautiful palm they transplanted dead.

When I wanted to see James and explain our disappointment about the grass he came listened and then wrote saying he felt attacked. Recently when I wanted to point out the other issues no answers to voicemail, a response to email saying he would call, he has not. So there you are, you will need to be careful if you use them.

I highly recommend the services of James and the team at NBG Landscapes. Professional, punctual, helpful, knowledgeable, hard working, efficient, tidy, polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. They looked after everything with expertise, down to the smallest detail. The team transformed our neglected pool area installing composite decking and a new fence. They refreshed our tired garden beds with new plantings. Amazing result!

James and the team did an amazing job on our landscaping, we couldn't be happier with the end result. We only have a small yard so it was really important to us that we maximise the usable space. This was achieved by reconfiguring the yard and the addition of some built in bench seating and a concrete top BBQ area. We love our new outdoor space, and we've had so many compliments on the new front fence too. Thank you to James, Adam, Gabe and the team who were super professional and hardworking, even during rainy, wet & muddy conditions. I would definitely recommend NBG!
