On a mission to buy a surfboard, and knowing absolutely nothing about surfboards, I was really lucky to meet Ryder! He was absolutely brilliant explaining all the options to me. He has excellent people skills and clearly loves his job. Thanks heaps Ryder. I am so stoked with my surfboard, and incredibly it fits in my car!) Natural Necessity is an amazing shop with heaps of lovely things, and a yummy cafe too!

This surf shop, selling great surfing inspired clothing, wet suits etc has always been a great place to visit whether to have a meal in the cafe attached or to buy swimsuits. Last w/e my visitor wanted to go there to buy a surf board. He was a little “ in his dreams” but we went there and had a lovely exploration of all things surfing. He ended up buying a surf mattress and I got a great rubber diver’s cap for winter swimming. Plus I picked up the sweetest swimsuit for my grand daughter. Natural Necessity is a legend!

Ordered a surfboard online from Natural Necessity, awesome price, cheap shipping, and arrived at my door on the Gold Coast within 3 days. I highly recommend buying from these guys and girls!

Really bad customer service. Board protections were awful. It didnt have any dings but it was just a luck.

Hired a surfboard for 2 days there. Very uncomplicated and friendly. I didn’t have a car with me so they brought the board to the campground with their own car after work. This is real customer service. Thanks!

I’ve previously been to natural necessities looking to get a board but hadn’t found one that I was set on until the week before last when I met Dan. His knowledge and honesty about the different types of boards really helped me when trying to make my decision. Dan helped me pick out a board to hire, answered all my questions and talked through a few different options. Friday just gone I went back into the store to returned the board and to my surprise Dan was there again. I told him how much I loved the board and how much fun I had. His customer service was incredible, he showed me the boards the store had in stock and unfortunately the one I wanted wasn’t there. He headed down the the warehouse and brought back 4 different boards for me to have a look at. Being someone that was only starting out I had heaps of questions and asked him to explain each board, the difference etc.
After picking out my board Dan helped me pick out everything I needed and again answered all my questions. I highly recommend natural necessities for people starting out and would definitely recommend you talking to Dan! Massive thanks!

I just wanted to thank you for the excellent customer service I experienced yet again on Friday. I wanted to look at a 9'3" HI4 longboard to compare it with my HIHP and Dan was a great help in so many ways. He listened well and gave me some really good advice. When I thanked him for his help, even though he was saying it probably wasn't worth me paying out the big money to buy another board, he said he'd rather have me come back and buy another board in the future rather than just selling me something to make some money. I have spoken to Ryder and others over the years and really appreciate your expertise and interest in helping me in my surfing questions. Thanks again. I ordered a new board online, always a bit daunting! Natural Necessity, made it so easy and worry free! The board arrived in lees than a week to Melbourne. I was notified at every stage of the process and the board arrived very much safe and sound! The guys at Natural Necessity had packaged it up very professionally so as to keep it damage free…AND they gave me a $20 off gift card for my next purchase! Well done Natural Necessity!

I love this store! Went looking for a board with specific size and shape I had in mind. Dan listened and took me through about 6 boards they had in stock that met my specs. Found the perfect board that does everything I wanted a big thanks!

Went in to buy a pair of flippers.
Sales guy in the surf section was great. Got recommended one pair to start off with and initially thought it was an upsell but then he brought out all of the styles and I got to try them on and pick the best fit.

Price very decent as well would recommend.

Usually great but staff member I dealt with was a bit cocky and didn't really fell like he wanted to be there.
