Hopeless and unfriendly customer support. They don’t explain over the phone what you can and can’t put in the bin before they take your money! When the bin arrived, I didn’t realise I couldn’t dispose of old CC’s, Licences, Medicare Care cards etc until the bin arrived and has a sign on it. I found out later that this costs over $100 for an extra service, and they stood firm on price even though there had been a mix up. Again, they don’t explain that it is a 2 or 4 week service and there is a specific pick up date. When I called to complain, there stand is that they don’t have time to explain these very important points over the phone and that’s why they send a very detailed email. Nor do they explain that it’s important to read the very detailed email. I am downsizing and moving house and the last thing I want to do is read the points when this really should have been explained. In all honesty, I thought it was a copy of the paid invoice. When I explained that I had already paid the money before the email came in later that day, I was told I could have requested a refund at that point. So you’re telling me, you have the time to process a refund but not explain in 2 simple sentences that you can’t put plastic in the bin, oh and there’s a specific pick up date!
When expressing my concerns, the lady on the phone was abrupt, talking over me and just kept referring to their process of the very detailed email, basically blaming me for not reading it. Really, is this what customer service has come down to? Conversations REPLACED by very detailed email explanations instead of working hand in hand with each other.

So simple! I met Allan whilst going for a coffee and he gave me his business card.
I rang the office and arranged the best time and day for a bin drop-off.
Two weeks later he returned and collected the bin, together with years of collected private messages and information.
Everything worked perfectly and I am so relieved to be rid of all this vulnerability.

I used this service for a one-off, single bin collection. Communication was excellent and the bin was delivered and collected on time as promised. I was able to watch as the cheerful operator destroyed the documents on pick-up with the truck-mounted industrial shredder.

Easy and fast and well priced. I dropped off the paperwork (Kogarah). Certificate also emailed. Excellent.

Had to destroy about two wheelie bins of office confidential papers. I showed up without an appointment and was able to unload everything on the spot. Within less than 24 hours I received my certificate confirming my papers had been destroyed. So easy, cost was very reasonable and very quick.

Total incompetence shown by the person who was given detailed instructions as to the arrangements for the delivery of the bins.
When questioned about the reasons for the instructions not being followed by the delivery person, we were basically told by her that we were lying and no such instructions were given. They had been discussed with her. Two people in this household can vouch for the instructions given by phone which she denied were given.
Incidentally we do need an extra bin but will be accessing it from a more efficient organisation.

This is one of the most professional companies in NSW, I have been dealing with National Document Shredding Service for over 10 years now and have never been able to fault them. They are always there for pick ups when they say they will. The Drivers are always well presented and clean. The big Greek driver with the massive mo, I think his name is Theo, but dont hold me to that. He is always happy, cracking jokes and makes me smile, nothing is too much out of the way for him. 10/10 guys keep up the good work.
