Narrabri Fish Farm

We are staying at Narrabri fish farm with a powered site for our Carravan which is great. Went on a tour of the fish farm with Spider (Rick’s Dad) which was very informative and lots of fun! What a character! Recommend to anyone fascinated with yabbies and Australian native fish and how they are grown.

An absolute pleasure to deal with and his product is first class. I would recommend them to anyone.

We camped for 3 nights during school holidays it was extremely laid back with plenty of space and drive through camps. They provide large fire pits and firewood. Toilet and hot outdoor showers. Fishing was a bit average this time of year. Makes for a great campsite close to Narrabri and at the foothills of Mt Kaputar national park and the Pilliga.

This is the second year we have taken our students to the farm as part of their marine studies and agriculture learning. Rick is an incredible tour guide, and very knowledgeable about his profession. Rick is fantastic at connecting with the students, spinning yarns, doing an awesome cook up, and providing an all round great experience. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I ordered Silver Perch fingerlings and dam stocking Yabbies from Narrabri Fish Farm. I told them that I wasn't in a hurry so was happy to work in with their delivery schedule. Sharmaine was super helpful and contacted me with updates along the way. They kept my order for an extra 4 weeks in their hatchery (at no charge) so they were bigger than I expected! Will definitely be purchasing Golden Perch and Cod fingerlings when they are available.

Fantastic camp spot with ample space. Rick the owner was very accommodating and provided us firewood for the evening. A new amenities block is under construction so next time hopefully hot showers

I have been buying my yabbies from Narrabri for about a year now. My whole family loves their yabbies and we all find it is better than the ones I get from fish shops. Decently priced and Sharmaine is great to deal with, prompt reply and excellent service. Thank you.

Spent a night and we will definitely be back. Very peaceful and we did the tour and learnt alot and really enjoyed it. We will definitely be back when we have more time.

We joined a tour at the Fish farm. Rick is a very enthusiastic and entertaining presenter. He gave a great overview of what it takes to start and run a Fish Farm. We tasted some of the bore water and were treated to a few songs on his favourite didgeridoos. Overall a highly recommended and fun experience.

Ordered 2kgs of yabbies and 20 Murray cod fingerlings the fingerlings are doing fine, but unfortunately have lost most of the yabbies ten were dead on arrival and the others have slowly died. I'll if I decide to order more of anything it will only be fingerlings.

Ordered 200 yabbies from Narrabri Fish Farm to stock my dam. They all arrived safe & healthy & didnt lose a single one on the nearly 48hr trip. The whole ordering & delivery process was extremely simple thanks to Sharmaine! Now looking forward to the cod & yellow belly coming into season.
