Nagisa reviews
68Had a really good time, staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was very good and tasty. For sure i would recommend this restaurant
Food is always amazing whenever we visit. Cocktails and wines are also delicious. Service was friendly and we can't wait to come back:)
Been here many times and always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere.
However today I waited at least 10 15 mutes after my wife finished her 3 courses of food to be served my meal.its really unacceptable when one is spending a premium to eat at an establishment.
Food was delish and service was fabulous. Great location for lunch. - must try for Newcastle!
Had heard and read many great things, so hubby's birthday seemed a great reason to go. We were not disappointed. The smiles that greeted us made us feel instantly happy. The dishes we selected and were served tasted as amazing as they looked. And the recommended cocktail was yummy too. So thank you for a beautiful experience. We will be back.
Very attentive staff, wonderful service coupled with outstanding food. We had the banquet meal, can highly recommend it if you want to try a variety of dishes.
This Japanese restaurant has really upped its game. It now offers lots of vegan options and fabulous, refined service.
Love this place ️
The food is always delicious.the Wagu beef is a must try. And you HAVE to save room for the apple pie gyosa.oh my. A-MAZING.
The new dining menu is delicious! The staff were friendly and attentive as usual. Great restaurant definitely recommend.
The food is just so fresh and such good quality, the staff are friendly and kind and service is quick even on the busiest of days.
After my wife and I both got sick after eating there I wouldn’t recommend Nagisa to anyone.
Favourite place to eat in Newcastle. This is our second time visiting and they have not disappointed yet. The sashimi was so fresh and delicious. My daughter who normally will not eat seafood said the tuna sashimi was one of the best things she's tasted. The pork belly is amazing. The wagyu beef was tender and the flavours were beautiful. The cocktails were very nice as was the warm sake. The service was very attentive and efficient. Can't wait to come back again.
Me and my family (5 people total) went there today for lunch and found beautiful food after a very brief wait. Highly recommend the bento boxes.
The view of the harbour, while mostly obstructed, was very enjoyable and the waitstaff were lovely and happy to answer questions and did the little things such as replacing water jugs without being asked.
Only downside is I will never be able to eat Japanese elsewhere again as the beautiful food has ruined all other places for me.
Ordered: 1) braised octopus, 2) pork belly kakuni, 3) roast eggplant.
1) came in a salad of seaweed, wayyyy too salty to be eaten as a salad. The octopus was tender, and the seaweed provided good texture. Unfortunately it's all drowned in a pool of dashi dressing.
2) I love the sauce, and the slightly spicy kimchi topping cuts through the sweetness and stickiness of the sauce. The pork belly was tender. The pork skin though, was very chewy to the point that it got stuck on my upper palate - a pretty yucky feeling.
3) I didn't like this. The eggplant was mushy and sat in a puddle of sauce that's too heavy, I feel. Would prefer if eggplant could be firmer with a lighter glaze.
Nice, casual ambience with waterfront views; responsive staff.
This place has racist staffs, we were there today and turned away saying they are fully booked, the place was only half filled at 1: 30pm lunch time. We ate at the bar next door and finished 1hr later and walked past it and saw only 30% table filled up.
Very friendly staff who accomodate us even without a booking. We started off with a couple of mains but it didn’t hit the spot so we needed to order some additional dishes. The eggplant was lovely and would order again. The sashimi was okay but an overall nice time
A great location for a restaurant with a high reputation but it failed to impress. I know COVID has made it hard to get good staff but sad to say, we felt let down. Our meals were delivered in an erratic way so that one of our party had finished his meal long before we got ours, dirty plates were left on the table far too long and the wines are outrageously expensive.
The meals were beautifully presented and value for money and I hope things will go smoother next time.
The staff were really really nice. Even apologised for forgetting to serve us.
The sashimi was nice and fresh, the confit chicken was a little too soft for me, waygu tataki was nice, the tempora prawn was average but quite expensive for what it was. The tofu and mushroom were amazing but a little too salty. The chilli edemame was beautiful with the chilli. The bonoffee gyoza was MIND BLOWINGLY AMAZING
Absolutely outstanding! Amazing food & drink, the service was impeccable! Extremely friendly & the little touches you’ll notice when you’re there, highly recommended
The Best Experience Glen really looks after everyone. The food omg is so fresh and delicious! I have been coming here for years it never dissapoints!
