Muum Maam Barangaroo reviews
67Dinner for 2 and they offered the tasting menu. It was great value, heaps of food and plenty of variety. Outstanding service too.
Made some reservation for two on a Friday night which was quite needed. We got there quite early before 6: 00pm but it got packed very quick!
The ambiance is very nice, they have lots of tables in and outdoors.
Menu options are varied. Quite pricey for the small size but still very tasty.
Great staff!
Such tasty Thai! We ordered a bunch to share - roast duck salad, barramundi salad, crispy chicken, all amazing.
Dined here twice with my work crew and both were a wonderful experience. Great location, waterfront views and if you sit outside can enjoy the sunshine! The food is very flavoursome, delicious and fresh. The staff are excellent and very attentive. Favourite dishes are the barramundi & green apple salad, crispy pork belly and pad thai. My favourite cocktail here is the ping pong - passion fruit delight!
Went here for an 18 month anniversary, couldn’t have chosen a better place to eat at. We had the chicken skewers and dumplings to start, both arrived at the same time, both delicious and perfect temperature, we had to keep the peanut sauce. Had the chicken with chilli jam and the fried rice. The sauce with the chicken was a great blend of sweet and sour, chicken was nice and tender. The fried rice was probably the best I’ve ever had. With the delicious food and very reasonable prices, highly recommend trying this place for a dinner. Drinks are all exciting and tasty too.
I have dined here several times over the years and the food has always been amazing. Last visit we had the spring rolls, massaman curry and the cauliflower curry. All were delicious, the cauliflower was on another level. Great service, location and ambiance.
This is our go to Thai in Sydney. Exceptional atmosphere, fantastic value and high quality food.
Excellent quality food and impeccable service. Great to see full understanding of gluten free options on the menu.
Really enjoyed that the sparkling water kept flowing for the entire time we were seated at the table and the wait staff knew who on the table was have sparkling or tap water.
Only a small suggestion is that the portion of rice should have been larger. We ordered a portion for each person (group of 4) and we didn’t have enough really for the size of the main dishes.
Will definitely be back next time I’m in Sydney.
Pleasantly impressed that while it's on the tourist spot the food was authentic, the service wonderful and considering the location the prices were incredibly reasonable. Fantastic if you're out of town or just looking to start the night off with friends and family in a beautiful location.
Most delicious spring rolls! Tasty mains. I did feel it was a little bit expensive for what you’re getting, but you’re paying for the location / experience.
Quality and service are good. The thing is that sweetness is all over. A bit far from the real Thai I was expecting.
We had a dinner for the 31/12
Food is average/good service is terrible
We went to pay the bill and it was a 15% surcharge but they didn’t specify the reason of the surcharge
I’ve asked the manager and he told me that it was for the public holiday
I told him that it wasn’t a public holiday and he said that it was a special surcharge for the 31/12 but it wasn’t reported anywhere
He apologised with us and he took off the bill the surcharge
2 table in front of us payed for that
That’s something very very doggie! Be honest with the customer and don’t play this game!
Second time visiting Sydney and had to bring my partner here. The food and service is usually very good. We had a really good time and enjoyed pretty much all the food.
Price is pretty good for a restaurant like this and the location.
My only bad experience was toward the end, I had ordered the Thai tea creme brulee, which was overcooked and had split, pretty much one of the most common mistakes, it happens. I asked our waiter to take it back so we can replace it and he tried telling us that there was nothing wrong with it and that its “Thai Style”? It was obviously split as it looked like scrambled eggs lol
Somehow the second creme brulee they brought out was perfectly fine and smooth but we didn’t appreciate the gaslighting when it should’ve been a simple interaction of “okay, ill check with the back, be back in a minute”.
Mistakes happen, just take it instead of lying to us. “It’s Thai Style” has become an inside joke for us now
My friend and i had lunch there on the 5th jan 2023. My friend had stomachache whole afterNoon and night that day. I got it worse. In the past 2 days, i had non stop diarrhoea, fatigue, fever.
If you are after authentic Thai cuisine, then this is not for you, as their food is heavily adapted to Western flavours. Also, we paid 5 dollars for a small glass apple juice. And they served us the cheapest kind of apple juice you could easily find in a supermarket.
My friends recommended this restaurant and it was our last meal before we left Sydney. I’m happy to say that the experience was incredible! From the friendly service and welcome, to the incredible Tom Yum cocktail and the chicken dishes we had, not to mention ending on the highest note of the friend icecream for dessert…. Omg just loved it, delicious and would come again for sure.
We were recommended by the staff at Hyatt regency! And certainly didn’t disappoint was absolutely sensational! Fresh! Yummy! Flavoursome! Would highly recommend to visit! Thanks Sydney!
This lovely Thai restaurant sits on the harbour, busy but lovely to walk along on a Saturday night. Great service, seated within a minute of asking for a table and it looked fully booked. Service was quick, efficient and done with a smile. I don’t think our tap water was ever empty nor were our other drinks. I really enjoyed the Marlborough sav blanc that they offered by the glass, light and refreshing. The Massaman wagyu curry with sweet potatoes was fragrant and rich, meat was very tender, the crispy pork belly was juicy and…crisp, the rice went really well with both. Would highly recommend and would return.
So yummy food & cocktails with great service with a happy smile. Great location too, so no need to ask for more!
We took The Buddha's Belly Set Menu and everything was delicious.
Walked in for dinner early on a Thursday evening & were able to get in before the rush. Lovely location and delicious food, the yellow chicken curry was 10/10!
