Murwillumbah Visitor Information Centre reviews
17 DANGER WARNING "Rainforest Centre" sign was the reason we stopped. The sign on the door said to visit the old railway station, across two highways. We arrived to be told that there is no Rainforest Centre.
1. Please remove the rainforest sign.
2. Please provide safe crossings from the carpark.
This centre is located at the Northern Rivers Rail Trail head, and opposite the bike shop. Small, but packed with information on Tweed and in particular the rail trail. Friendly and helpful staff, some off street parking available however this can be very busy.
The staff were very helpful with local tourist knowledge
The Murwillumbah Visitor Information Centre.is now located in the closed down Murwillumbah Train Station
Lovely people so helpful- they had to move over to the old railway station because their building was very flood damaged - go and visit them you won’t be sorry!
The ladies were excellent in their delivery of information and required maps.
We probably chatted for an hour
The artist who painted the 360 degrees view was also there
Lovely Staff, great help for what I was looking for, worth a visit if you need some information about other towns in the area!
The staff were so helpful with directions and pointing out local places to visit. It made my visit 1000 times better!
Came in at the start of our trip uncertain of what do. Spoke to Glenn who gave us great recommendations of local sites and a great walk to do. Very friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic which was great considering most business were still on reduced hours and we were facing rainy days.
Glenn - we made it to Sheep Creek the next day. Such a fantastic walk, we were the only ones there and had a great time!
We went in to get some brouchers and found some cool art and a 3D topographic map of the region. It was really engaging to see the mountain ranges from a bird's eye view.
Glenn was the man working on the day and he told us where to go visit and where to have lunch and it turned out to be a great day. Thanks heaps for the info!
Very helpful staff. I wanted to find out about walks in National Parks, however limited access to any of them at the moment due to damaged roads and paths.
Friendly, helpful folks, giving great, helpful information. Picturesquely located in an old railway station
Nice place to visit or for a reviver stop. Situated on th Tweed River, clean public toilets and shaded areas to enjoy your break.
Pleasant helpful staff.great to see the old railway station being utilised.hope it is able to increase its excitement level before long.the beauty of the Tweed region hardly needs selling but on my visit the VIC seemed a little forlorn.
Great location for an information center
The old murwillumbah railway station.so much history
Helpful friendly staff, good assortment of guide info as well as locally made items and postcards on sale. Now located in the old train station. Can still walk along the platform, rest of the track and yards looking sad after years of neglect.
Wonderful helpful staff set in an old now disused railway station. An abundance of local and tourist items in a well presented visitor centre located on the old highway.
This is a great tourist info stop, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and as a bonus, there is a working art gallery below the info office, complete with a 360 degree landscape of the view from Mt Warning
