Muogamarra Nature Reserve Visitors Centre reviews
15The wildflowers are as usual as you see in any other garden but the views are worth the trek! Well signposted and guided. Thanks to the volunteers!
Only open to prebooked visitors, through NSW National parks, for 6 weeks a year. A wonderful reserve with wide range of wildflowers in August-September. Great views of Hawkesbury River area and beyond. Well marked trails, mix of well formed paths, undulating fire trails and rocky formations and stairs. Can do guided with volunteer rangers and some self guided trails.
Beautiful reserve. Lots of lovely volunteers helping with the parking and stationed along the tracks to giving visitors extra information about areas. Don't forget to bring cash for the entry fee. We had to back track to Berowra for an atm, but we were still able to get in at 10am.
Incredible full day hike today - Peats Bight walk, approx 14km in total. Great Guides (Mark x2), hiking companions and stunning scenery. Flowers are all in bloom. Well worth the money!
Wonderful walks with views over Brooklyn area. Great wildflowers in spring. Flourishing due to restricted access- only open to public (with bookings to limit numbers) for 6 weekends every year. Sells out fast.
Nothing to share as I dropped off a school group. The road in was rough and soggy due to heavy rainfall.
I enjoyed the reserve, the staff of visitors centre seems all volunteer, likely retired people who love the nature. There are some guide for the trails. I could not do the long trail, but others are pretty easy to do for everyone.
Lovely nature reserve.
Great views over the Hawkesbury River.
Lots of flowers in Bloom.
It does cost $15 per person to enter.
Your national parks pass does not cover this entry fee.
Only open to the public 6 weekends a year during spring, buy guided tour tickets so you can take your car in all the way. People who didn't have a ticket had to walk several kilometres down a dusty trail to get to the visitor centre and walk start point
The 6 weeks in Aug/Sept the park is open in Spring are the perfect time to experience the colourful blooms of the Aussie bush with exquisite views over the Hawkesbury River. The Ranger guided walks are excellent as are the self guided tours. Some difficult terrain but mostly easy walking. Well worth a visit!
We didn't book. So we parked the car at Pie in the sky and walked the 3 kilometers into the park, paid the way overpriced entry fee to see a couple of carvings. Definitely not worth the $15 per person entry fee
Beautiful, stunning, picturesque and such a gorgeous part of the world! Only open for during the flower season for about 6 weeks a year.
Well worth the trip and $15 pp. They do take cards! Worth a visit and the Peats Bight hike is a must. Well done to all the volunteers, your smiles and generousity ti share your knowledge made it a hike to remember. Loved it!
Only open to the public for about 6 weekends a year for the Spring flowers. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful place, absolutely worth going to see every year. Too bad it is only open very rarely.
