Mountain High Pies reviews
624 shots of coffee and awesome pies. What's not to like? ! Routine stop every time I pass through.
Great pies both sweet and savoury but I did find them quite salty which masked a lot of the flavour. If you buy 6 unheated savoury pies you get 20% off. Pies cost between $5 to $11 or so. Service was polite and fast. No surcharge on credit card usage and they accept Amex. Uses eco friendly packaging which is a plus!
We arrived just 15 minutes before they closed for the day and decided to try their pepper steak pie along with a latte to go. To be honest, I wasn't quite sure about the high ratings, as both the pie and the latte turned out to be quite average.
Super friendly service. The staff are all so welcoming and lovely.
Pies were yummy, flaky and filling. I had the chunky steak pie which was delicious. Husband had a curry pie which he said was ok and a steak pie which he said was great.
Lots of space inside restaurant with some outdoor seating. Plenty of parking and female toilets were very clean. Will definitely be back.
Perfect pit stop for your trip to the Blue Mountains and its surrounding hikes. After a long 3 hour hike, Mountain High Pies certainly satisfied our hunger and welcomed us with their very helpful and friendly staff. A special mention to Sarah who made sure we were satisfied with our dining experience. The pie that I would recommend is the Lamb Rosemary and Shiraz Pie which was a bronze medal winner and it did not disappoint. The pie crust was fluffy, flakey and fragrant, served fresh and hot. I was surprised by the generous serving of tender and aromatic lamb inside of the pie and the gooey gravy within which was complemented nicely with the aromatic Shiraz. These pies certainly defeat the Four-N-Twenty pies that we are used to. Thank you for having us and we look forward to trying more of your pies!
Where have you been my whole life?
I had the steak and Guinness pie, sausage roll and Apple Pie. I was very hungry after leaving the Echo Point Restaurant.
All items were delicious and customer service unreal. She even had the confidence to sell me more items.
I will be back to try more items.
Best value lunch. Had the steak, mushroom and Guiness pie with all the sides. Hot custard was great.
I had the small quiche and a meat, cheese & bacon pie. They were good. My partner had the beef pepper pie and said it was ok. Bit expensive. Great coffee. Friendly staff.
Not a fan had a potato pie & a plain pie couldn't eat them, if you want the best pie in Australia Barry's pies blacksmiths
Food and facilities are good. Cordial service. One of the few places to get a steak & kidney pie. But I do miss "the faint taste of urine".
Tried multiple pies here that weren’t that special. They also didn’t pack one of the pies we’d paid for which we didn’t realise until after we left. Not as good as it’s hyped up to be
Great food & coffee, great friendly service & terrific outdoor seating especially when the cockatoos are about, also water bowls for pets, nice touch
Plenty of parking and a nice shop. 10 min wait which was expected with all the positive reviews on a long weekend.
Pies were very disappointing considering all the reviews. Had a beef and mushroom, lamb and rosemary, and chicken a mushroom.
Pastry was underwhelming, fillings were average at best and chicken and mushroom flavour was just off. I thought they accidently gave me a curry pie.
A 7/11 pie tastes a lot better at half the price. Ok for a visit but don't expect great pies.
Excellent steak and kidney pie. Delicious filling and wonderful flakey pastry. The best I've had.
Great place that was recommended to us, otherwise we would continue to drive past this place. We tried 4 different pies, a sausage roll and 2 dessert options. The variety on offer is great, there was a line outside the door even at 3pm which shows how busy this place can get on weekends. The only downside was that the items got cold in the winter weather quickly so I’d recommend eating inside if there is space.
Friendly service, wide variety of delicious pies.
Highly recommended to give the pies a try.
Easily THE BEST beef pies in Australia. And unless some other country has some kind of magical beef pie, these are the best beef pies in the world. The staff are absolutely incredible too.
Pies are amazing here. Tried big breakfast, apple pie and hot custard. Must stop place if you like pies. They offer fresh juice and good coffee too. Heaps of parking and wheelchair accessible. Sit outside and enjoy the sun during winter.
Amazing pies made from quality ingredients. Their big breakfast pie is a must try. Also, if you plan on ordering a large coffee have-in, be prepared for a LARGE coffee.
Went on a cold and sunny Autumn day, lovely space and staff were great. Prices aren't too bad either.
However, the savoury pies are ok. The big brekky is nice but the potato tastes like its been soaked in frozen water.
Rather, its the sweet tarts you gotta get!
