Mount Keira Lookout reviews
44Very nice and beautiful place to see the city and sea from up spot. Awesome & amazing.
This place is excellent and should be visited by all. I'm quite disappointed the tracks are closed. I hope they fix them soon
A great place to relax. Whenever i get bored i go to this place to spend some quality time watching the scenic view of wollongong.
One of the best scenic lookouts we have ever seen and well worth the drive to get to it. It’s unusual in that the view is much closer to you than usual which gives a sense of hovering over it. Beautiful amenities and picnic facilities as well. Don’t bother doing the walk to the next lookout as it is under construction and there is nothing to see there.
This lookout is a must do in Wollongong area! It gives you outstanding panoramic views. On a good day you can see all the way to Cronulla and even on a rainy or hazey day the atmosphere feels magical! Can't recommend this spot as a picnic spot or a walk enough! Check out some of the walks here to make your trip even more memorable.
What an amazing and wonderful view point. Can get a view of the Wollongong town along with the coast from this mountain. There are walking tracks that are kids friendly. The drive to this place itself is nice. Both my kids enjoyed this place. Would love to visit again. A must visit place if you are visiting Wollongong.
I love this place, especially when I need to get out and breathe. Great views and good walks from really short to good long leg stretchers!
Another place for those who want to indulge in nature. The breeze, the sweet sound of the tree branches chafing, the sun dances through the branches fall on you. Multiple walking tracks along the way and at top of Mount Kiera or as local here call her as Grandma Kiera is a magnificent view of Wollongong. Words can't describe how magnificent it is. One need to experience it. The route to Mount Kiera can be used as walking track too rather than ride or drive. The choice is yours!
Excellent view! But some tree tops block the views in last few years, hope local council can trim it
The views from Mount Keira are so stunning! The lookout itself is quite accessible as there is a ramp that leads to the viewing area. We continued strolling along the path and it lead us to a track. Experienced hikers can continue down that track for a more challenging walk, but there is also an easier track that loops back around to the car park.
A cold sunny day, but well worth the visit. The view over the Wollongong coastline was spectacular. I was amazed at the size of the Port Kembla steel works site. There are plenty of walks to do in the area, picnic tables, a BBQ area and toilets.
Visited this hidden gem Mount Keira. The natural beauty of Mt Keira gives an unspoiled backdrop to the City of Wollongong. Towering 463.9 metres high and casting its protective shadow over this beautiful city.
Beautiful view! Worth the short stop-over here. The kiosk near the parking lot sells good and cheap food and drinks
It is wonderful place to spend some time with your family. There is a small food outlet as well with some great variety. The coffee was really good. The view of Wollongong is fabulous.
Great place to treck to. A beautiful place at dusk but early morning is my favourite time.
Visit soon.
Such a wonderful lookout and especially those who travel to Wollongong or passing by should definitely find sometime in reaching this lookout.
For those who like trekking, yes this is a good option too.
Amazing view! You can see everything! Very impressive! Totally worth to visit! Good thing is they have a bathroom! Lol
Great view
Good spot to hike
Great place to stop by to relax and enjoy the view. You can also do a 3hr ring hike here. Start your hike from the Byarong park further down from here.
Definitely worth the visit, travelling from sydney on windy cloudy. Would suggest to trim a little bit those trees that covering the whole stunning view.
