Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre

The pool is such an asset to the southern highlands- it gives me the opportunity to have fun whilst getting fit with aquaerobics (thanks Michelle, Miriam and Georgia) and get value for money (thanks to a casual swim pass). I meet up regularly with a friend to “go to the pool” and I’d recommend you do the same.

The facility is clean and are very well maintained, however planing and communications are very poor. 2 current examples of this are:
1. The pool has been closed for at least the last 3 days and this is not advised on the centre or council website as far as i can see with the result that people show up and are turned away - very poor communication.
2. The pilates classes are almost always booked out with a waiting list and are likely the most popular class. Despite this on a number of occasions in the last 2 weeks the classes have been moved without notice, from the dedicated room to the general gym area for “maintenance reasons”. This is not at all suitable for a pilates class of 20 people and possibly unsafe as well. As all classes are booked in advance, people in the class could very easily be advised via email or txt. There is also no reason why the maintenance could not be scheduled when the room is not in use, or lightly used (fairly simple as few people attend the virtual classes which occupy most of the time).
No apology or acknowledgment of options from Centre management when questioned on the above. Not really good enough.

Been coming here for years and never seen it run so badly. The centre has had a bit of upgrade but staff downgrade

Me and my mate went and they wouldn't let us in cause my mate was 13 he was turning 14 the next day.

Friendly helpful staff great Gym facilities and pool, classes offered are excellent and Michelle & Sean are great trainers.friendly atmosphere & well maintained facility

I would like to know where I can complain about a member at the front desk. I went into join one day as I was advised by my doctor that I needed to exercise. A person on the front desk said I need a Doctors letter, I went back a couple of weeks later with a doctors letter, I was then asked how often was I planning to go, I said I am not sure, she said well you are wasting your money if you only come once or twice a week. I don't for the life of me know what it had to do with her how often I went if I paid my money. That was about two months ago and now I am to scared to go back. I was wanting to go there so I could also use the pool. Can I put a complaint about her to the Council?

Staff are friendly and the facility is well maintained. I’d prefer some more equipment and maybe an update with some of the machines but I’m also from a big city & know that it’s not always possible to do this affordable.

The centre is well laid out staff are great heated pool is wonderful. The showers etc very clean as is the whole complex.

Great swim school. Easy to book in and consistent teachers, helping students build a treat relationship and trust with their teachers.

Kirsty is a horrible teacher who discriminates and treats kids poorly, she needs to be sacked.i cannot believe how she treats some who are doing nothing wrong all while smirking.blue fit needs to investigate this as it is disgusting

Heated Indoor swimming pool, good value for money and has shop for swimming clothes and goggles.

Love the centre and all of it's facilities. There is a few lifeguards that are absolutely amazing and are very good at keeping watch of all members of the public particularly great at looking in the blind spots which I have noticed two of them doing.they are always very happy and smiling and always helps when ever I ask anything. There are however, afew lifeguard, one specifically who doesn't smile at all, doesn't show any emotion, doesn't really walk around and watch every one and they kind of just glare towards the pool and look out to reception quite abit. She works on a early day in the afternoon of the week but i can't rember whcih day. The lifeguard on the weekend are very cheerful. And there is also a swim teacher who is so good with the kids in the small pool on afew afternoons of swim teaching a week who is also a lifeguard.

So these guys are awsome, the only reason they get four stars instead of five is because, when eating a Milo frozen milkshake a child upchucked in front of me and the lifeguard on duty fished it out right in front of me. Probably just me but yeah, rank. Time heals all so in Time, they will get five.

Offers gym and pool and has a cafe for parents and carers.

Has toilets in the gym area and in the pool area as well as toilets/baby change area in the reception/shop/Cafe area.

Only down side is the toilets, which includes a disability aceess toilet, are a pull/push door. Being in a wheelchair makes access very difficult.

There is on-site parking and an overflow parking lot, which includes 2 to 3 disability parking spaces.

Great place to do laps, but you have to choose carefully your off peak times as it does become incredibly busy.

I have found the facilities excellent; the personnel very friendly and welcoming. The staff have worked earnestly to safeguard the public against the virus.

Attended the Gym and was very surprised very clean and well layed out with the most modern equipment l will be back
