Mk Movers

Mk movers recently moved us from new castle to Canberra. It was a great experience with them. They make moving lot easier.

I recently used MK Movers for my apartment move as a student, and the experience was fantastic. The team was punctual, efficient, and handled my belongings with care. They made the stressful process of moving much smoother, and their pricing was reasonable. I highly recommend them for a hassle-free relocation.

So I have been in Australia for 12 years now and lived in at least 10 different places. Which means I have moved a lot. And Tony from MK movers has been the worst moving experience to date!

The move was from North Kellyville to Liverpool. Which is a min 1 hour travel not taking heavy traffic and other aspects into consideration.

Booking him was pretty straightforward, but the day before the move (after 5pm on a Friday) he called saying he would not be able to come at 9am on Sat as he had not completed a move on Friday putting us under a lot of stress knowing full well it was impossible to get someone at such a short notice. Tony knew full well that we only had a limited time slot available (9AM TO 4PM) for the loading dock in the new place and claimed 'everything will be done, I know the building & the manager there. '

- He came in at 11am the next day but only by himself, even though we booked for 2 people.
- His accomplice came in casually a full 2 hours later and though Tony deducted a small amount for the first two hours, the guy was barely competent to carry on the rest of the tasks
- Tony seemed to be in such a rush and kept saying he needs to get this job done soon, as he had booked himself another move in the evening at Newcastle. He constantly kept forgetting stuff & I had to either remind or point it out to him
- Upon reaching the building he kept complaining that the loading dock was quite far from the lift (despite already knowing the building & manager apparently)
- As things were getting late for him, he manhandled the furniture and was literally just dropping it in the apartment that screws were coming off the furniture
- He destroyed my Tv stand (for which he deducted 50 bucks in the end), and when I pointed it out he told me to just order that panel from Bunnings and send him the bill
- At the last minute he said he would not assemble the bed as he needs to get to Newcastle and that when I had to yell at him after keeping it together till that point, after which he assembled the bed (and still did a shoddy job of it)
- Throughout this whole process Tony would back talk to the customer and take absolutely no responsibilities for anything that went wrong, either blaming it on not being 'new' furniture or his previous customers for him being late etc.
- The whole thing cost almost a grand and he still sat on his high horse claiming he is the cheapest (which is def not the case, as our previous mover did the whole thing for $600 just a few months ago and no dramas)

All in all, even though Tony was recommended by a friend who was lucky not to have any issues, Tony and MK movers has definitely scarred us with this whole experience.

If anyone is looking for hassle & stress free movers then Tony is NOT YOUR GUY. STEER CLEAR FROM TONY & MK MOVERS IF YOU VALUE YOUR BELONGINGS & TIME.

Very unprofessional, and the worst moving experience I have had, despite initial great communication with Tony.
- First truck arrived (graffitied truck), advising that they would not be able to move everything in one go (also blamed rain, size of truck)
- Nothing was wrapped (as promised), leaving stains on mattress & couch
- First movers advised that next truck would arrive within 90 minutes. The next truck did not arrive for 3.5 hours (two new guys)
- Total move time was almost 12 hours
- Tony agreed a refund would be paid for the inconvenience & unprofessional service
- 6 weeks after the move, no refund has been received

Great work from Tony with our recent house move, they also halped us with disassembly and assembly of the furniture, MK Movers very well experienced sydney based removals company and would recommend to everyone. Cheers

I have moved home several times but I have never had an experience as bad as the one I had with MK movers. I am writing this review as my last resource, because this company owes us an apology and our insurance money.

We moved from NSW to QLD back in July, and chose MK for their great reviews, outlined processes and procedures, and insurance policy. Unfortunately, during the move, large items were not properly protected (despite being part of the contract), and MK Movers damaged many of our most expensive items: Our brand new couch, vintage designer chairs, brand new dining table, and TV unit.

Once we identified the most damaged items we messaged MK movers and had an immediate response from the team, who seemed cooperative.we shared pictures of all damaged items and - in good faith - agreed to only claim the couch, as it needed immediate repair and MK was unsure that they could claim more than that on insurance.

Their uncertainty about being able to claim a higher expense had nothing to do with their insurance, but in fact with the lack of insurance; even though we paid for insurance and the service was outlined in the contract.

Once that information was disclosed, MK asked us for more time.and then they stopped answering calls and text messages.

MK is aware of the fact that we are taking this issue further, as we have lost over $5K in furniture.

I am sharing our experience to avoid that others go through the same situation, as it is disheartening and extremely time consuming.

Honestly the best removalists we've ever used! The boys were professional, timely and communicative. It was amazing watching them manoeuvre all of our furniture into our (downsized) apartment - serious Tetris kings! Thank you so much! We will recommend your services to all we know:)

Tony and his team are the best! I have moved before few times but with Tony my move was easy, smooth and stress free (these guys are honest, on time and best price). They wrapped all my furniture to make sure nothing get damage. Highly recommended to everyone and will use them again!
