Minchinbury Community Hospital

Just spent a day at Minchinbury Community Hospital in the day ward last week. Whilst waiting in the day ward the two nurses who were looking after after the patients were fantastic and caring. I have no hesitation in referring future patients to the hospital. Office staff were also excellent.

Besides the food being really bad I was treated really kindly by all the nurses while I was recovering from my tummy tuck. I’m so greatful for their kindness because I’ve had so much trauma from health providers in the past and they really helped me a lot

My father was a patient at Minchinbury Hospital for about three months post a major stroke. I cannot thank ALL the staff enough, for the wonderful care that was given daily. This is truly an incredible Hospital with the most incredible caring staff from Nurses, Doctors, Physio's, OT's, and Administrative staff. I will forever be grateful for what you have all done for my father. Thank you muchly. If I could 10 stars I would!

Drop in for a Covid PCR test, the staff working for Histopath pathology is a top staff. I call him Mr Abi, very helpful, polite, friendly and most importantly service oriented giving customers all the information necessary. He should be holding a more senior position rather then suppressed in a corner.
A star for the society for he is capable of giving more…!

The exercise physiologists and physios are absolutely amazing. I have been coming for the past 3 months twice weekly to help with my recovery of knee replacement. I found all the team at this hospital willing and happy to assist at all times. I highly recommend completing rehab at Minchinbury.
The nurses and admin team are very friendly.

I attended the outpatients clinic for a few months late last year following major knee surgery, on the recommendation from several friends and acquaintances. The staff were excellent, the treatment I received extremely helpful and tailored to my rehab needs. I had 30 sessions and attended three times a week, so it was intense, but I've had excellent recovery. I'd hate to try to recover from this kind of surgery without their friendly, encouraging and very professional help!
I still do the program I was given when I reached the end of my session from the health club and it really helps. These are exercises that I can do at home. I had a few set backs along the way and the physios and exercise physiologists gave me great advice and exercises to manage and strengthen.
If I had to (ie more surgery), I would go there again in future with no hesitation.

On top of the exercises, the staff injects a sense of exuberance that inspire you to keep pushing your limits. It’s the staff that really makes the difference.

My appointment was with Dr Kalantar, the staff were absolutely fantastic,
very polite and made you feel at ease and comfortable, if I have further issues, this is where I want to be, Thanks to all.

Just finished a 7 month rehab program after major back surgery.the out patient physio is the best I've ever been to.can't speak highly enough of them. I Went from barely able to walk to almost back to full strength over that period of time. Kate my physio, understood my needs and abilities, worked out my program with home exercise etc and got me over the line.thanks so much. I would more than highly recommend this place to anyone.

Recently had knee replacement surgery. I would not recommend this facility. After being left for an hour on arrival. The tiny horrible room. Big cracks in walls. Very old building. Not a single chair outside on grounds to sit. After telling them I was leaving I was not treated very nice. Incorrect scripts written for pain meds. Basically sent home without any consideration of how I would deal with pain. Could not believe their lack of caring

I have been coming here for 5months for Rehab and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The staff all round treated me with politeness and dignity all the way through. I will definitely be recommending my family to come here if they need rehabilitation after a operation. The Hydro pool is fantastic. Thanks to all the staff for taking care of me

I was there for rehab on my fractured femur from 3 to 26 february and they took very good care of me. Thanks everyone. All the nurses were lovely to me except for two but thats being dealt with. I loved going to physio twice a day and im glad that they chose georgia and hannah to be my physios they were wonderful they really helped me a lot they were kind and compassionate with a good sense of fun and humour. Dr Pushpa was lovely too i was glad to have her as my doctor very kind and compassionate. I loved having home made meals including lovely morning teas. Management and the office staff were great. I lvd doing my physio to the sixties seventies and eighties playlist that georgia compiled so much that id find myself singing along or doing a small jig then sometimes forgetting how many times id done an exercise but always making up for it. Im really looking forward to coming back on monday to start my outpatient physio sessions. Thank you for being so caring of me everyone

Honestly wouldn’t recommend this hospital to anyone. Was asked to arrive at 9am for my operation and was made to sit in a hard chair in a corner until 2 pm when I was finally taken into theatre when there were “no beds or lounges available” even though there were five lounges right in front of us “occupied” by patients that were in theatre meaning I wasn’t allowed to sit anywhere but a hard chair for hours whilst they were completely vacant-massive lack of common sense from nurses. Very very poor service from staff besides a few nurses post op, was highly unimpressed with their lack of care for making not only me but another young man before me who had not been given a bed or lounge either and was there even earlier than me and also wasn’t taken in for hours. The only thing that went well was the operation and the theatre staff who looked after me great. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone and definitely will never go back.

I was in hospital for 2 weeks and the nursing staff were wonderful the only complaint was the air conditioning goes into over drive in the middle of the night and could not sleep. The staff in the Rehab are fantastic I would recommend this place for any patient after having a knee replacement. They really took good care of me

All staff from the receptionist, nurses, manager and Alicia in Aged Care offered the best service I have experienced in the health industry. So friendly, helpful and patient.

So we were told to be to be at the hospital at 7am and that my brother (the patient) would be the first to be operated on. Only it is hours later and we have just been told he has been placed third on the list for no reason. No emergency requirements for the other patients just sheer disgraceful organisation. For $3000 for day surgery hospital fee it is extremely unjustifiable. I would strongly recommend an alternative place if anyone was considering here. It’s old and has nothing to offer for the amount asked to be paid!
