Really disappointed by the outcome of our dealings with Milk Chocolate. Happy to share our experience - and Milk Choc’s response - with anyone contemplating engaging this team.

Michael and Brad were a dream to work with in purchasing my first home while relocating back from the US. They made the whole process easy and painless and took the stress out of home buying. They were extremely responsive and addressed concerns and challenges as they arose. Navigating through the process of buying a house can be overwhelming but they made it easy. Cant recommend them enough.

Michael, Sarah and the team at Milk Chocolate could not possibly do more for their clients than they have for us. White-glove service with attention to detail and the necessary hand holding (for the likes of us). All with the utmost professionalism, humor and diligence.

We’re not easy customers. Living in Singapore for 8 years, the two of us are originally from Sydney and Kuala Lumpur, with a very specific criteria when it came to hunting for our forever home in Sydney. That alone posed its own set of challenges: foreign stamp duty, cross-border mortgage, house inspections from abroad, FX pressures on the Aussie dollar, manual processing of legal and bank documents, snail mail (!) And did I mention one of us is super impatient, a little impulsive and emotionally over-invests in every property within 200 metres of Paddington’s Five Ways?

Obviously we needed help. A friend recommended the boys from Milk Choc after sharing the woes of our plight. And after a quick intro to Ritchie and Michael, the ball was rolling. Over the course of about 5 months, the boys took us through over 15 properties in our no. 1 preferred neighbourhood of Sydney’s Paddington. This was through a combination of virtual tours, last minute inspections when one of was in town on business, representing us at 3 separate auctions, and even took the time to drive around new neighbourhoods filming the streets to give us a sense of the ambient sounds and atmosphere of lesser known streets and communities. Nothing was ever too much, connecting around the clock to keep us in the loop on every update; even acting as marriage counselor on a couple of occasions. The boys always made us feel heard and understood, staying laser focused on our brief, while consistently offering alternative points of view to help us think more broadly about all of our options.

In the end, they nailed it. They found our perfect house, in the perfect neighbourhood, on the perfect street. From negotiating with estate agents, engaging with local council on planning regulations, costs associated with potential renovations, managing our mortgage broker, even leading conversations with multiple legal, taxation and accountant teams, the boys quarterbacked the entire process and we couldn’t be more grateful!

Beyond impressed and so thankful I found Michael and Richie at MC. Just completed my dream of purchasing a property in Sydney - living in Washington DC and even with family in Sydney, it's a complex process. Now having worked with MC, I would use them even if I was in Sydney myself. From the property search and vetting, to identifying which properties had unlocked capital value, avoiding the lemons, negotiating the contract to managing all the financial transactions, they were so knowledgeable and made it so easy. They worked in my timezone, and using video calls, felt like they were right next to me all the time. Now I am working with MC on a complete renovation, and they are handling property management for rental. I give them my highest endorsement.

When my husband suggested we renovate for the second time I said NO immediately! So he introduced me to Milk Chocolate and the rest is history. Richie and Michael promised the world - and delivered even more. They were professional, efficient, knowledgeable, passionate and most of all a pleasure to work with.
