MGSM Executive Hotel

Our experience at this accommodation was outstanding, thanks to the affordable rates, delicious breakfast, and scenic lake views. The location was ideal. Moreover, Dana, our host, was exceptional in her efforts to ensure our comfort, consistently going the extra mile.

We loved staying here while my partner was in hospital. Lovely spacious clean rooms. Staff very helpful and great coffee in the reception area. Lovely affordable restaurant also in hotel.

They are very friendly and make u welcome.
There service is excellent and there cleaners who clean the rooms are very friendly and proffessional.
There restaurant is very nice with very nice food.

We had booked a room on Bookings a week before our trip, and according to their website, they boasted a 24-hour front desk. However, upon arriving at 12: 10 am on the designated check-in day, we faced a frustrating situation. It took us a good 20 minutes to locate the reception area, only to find it completely deserted with no staff in sight. Our attempts to call the hotel multiple times all led to voicemail. We were immensely disappointed. After enduring a grueling 5-hour drive to Sydney, we had hoped for a pleasant weekend, but instead, we found ourselves stranded outside the hotel in the chilly night until 1: 30 am. Despite our relentless efforts to contact them, we were left with no choice but to seek accommodation elsewhere nearby. Throughout this whole time, the hotel's staff never reached out to inquire about our check-in time or even bother to inform us that their front desk would be closed after 12 midnight, while even a $50-per-night motel would do that! On the next morning, the hotel has not made a single attempt to communicate with us, yet they are attempting to withdraw funds from our account. This experience feels nothing short of a robbery. Undoubtedly, it stands as the worst experience we have ever encountered.

Clean room. The hotel was next to a lake which was packed with visitors on a good day. Had a long power outage during the thunderstorm. Parking was a nightmare! You basically parked around the roundabout in front of the reception/hotel itself and hoped that the next time you went out and came back, there would still be a tiny gap just enough for your vehicle. There was no sign directing visitors to other available parking space so one night we had to go around couple of times and finally asked the hotel next door at midnight (no more staff in this hotel past a certain hour) and was guided to a parking lot next to the Mercure hotel (was free of charge).

Top hotel. It's unfortunate that the deposit has still not been released after almost a month.

On arrival at 7pm after a long 4hr drive from out west I was left waiting at reception with no service for over 10 minutes. The staff in the restaurant had to call for someone after my attempts were unsuccessful. Only positives; Great location. Easy to get to. Very nice views. VERY noisy old aircon. Had to turn off to sleep, then could hear people walking in rooms above and was frequently woken up. Tried to sleep with just verandah gauze door closed but fly screen had numerous holes and mosquitos came in, plus traffic from nearby road was noisy and it wasn't able to be locked*only the glass door locked but made the room hot. Leaky shower screen onto bathroom floor made it slippery and unsafe. Very tight space in bathroom to open shower safely. Parking was free but it was around the roundabout at the entry which wasn't particularly safe when watching a large customer truck try to navigate late at night and have a few close calls. Original booking was changed by hotel and I was notified at 6pm on day of arrival that the room i had booked was not available, one wonders if my original room would have had such issues?
Very close to hospital and uni - but I won't be staying again.

Didn't get to stay but the staff were so understanding and considerate.
Was booked in prior to my surgery but was postponed at last minute. No hassle from them, no drama
Was then transferred from hospital with my car still in their carpark and had to cancel my night here.
Again an understanding and empathetic response from all the staff there.

For someone from the bush the room and the location was very warm and friendly, looking out of your room at a beautiful green park when your loved 1 is having not so pleasant surgery at the hospital an easy walk away was extremely comforting. Eswan at reception was so helpful and professional, but very nice to deal with. Thank you so much.

We had a great experience with the MGSM Hotel in Macquarie university.staff was helpful, the location was great. The room was clean with a wonderful view of the back area and beautiful Cockatoos

Staying here for the second time on business. Well designed rooms in a great setting let down by cleaning standards below par. The shower had the previous guest's used soap, and the toilet bowl needed a scrub. Other than small details like that, the bedding and other amenities are as expected. A great night's sleep. Having the shopping centre nearby is an added bonus.

This is the perfect location for a stay in the vicinity of Macquarie University, including Macquarie Hospital. The executive rooms are spacious and quiet, and we had a peaceful view over the park and lake. Staff are friendly and exceptionally helpful, and there is a wonderfully quite reading room with tea and coffee available. Thanks MGSM!

Great service from staff, good location and price. Rooms are very comfortable. Shower door was a little squeaky.

Good value for money, very nice rooms. Free first come first serve parking. Free coffee at the foyer, reception is open from 7am till late.

Not impressed.broken glass.no soap.dirty floor under the bed was disguisting.not sure where their reviews are from or when they were sent or or even if they were legitimate.won't be going back that's for sure

We walked into the room and the bed was slept in and had hair over it. There was hair on the floor.
They happily changed our room. The room on the ground floor smelt moldy when we turned on the aircon.
Other than that price was alright.

Very Affordable, Amazing staff & Food. Exceptional service over all. I would highly recommend this place.

What a pleasant surprise find. Great facility in a great location. Views from my room are fantastic and the staff very helpful.
