I recently spent just over two weeks at this centre. My experience was amazing. My physio was Georgina and she is professional and caring. Georgina helped me enormously and I am eternally grateful.
All the other physios are professional, caring and encouraging.
I am in the best physical condition that I have been in the last 10 years.
The nurses and the staff are professional, kind and caring.
The food was good and the staff were great.
A big thank you to Royal Rehab Private Petersham for providing me with a exceptional experience

Facilities are good but their schedule is run purposely tightly that if you pay for 1 hour of any service, you only end up with 20 or so mins. Time to change clothes forms part of the session time that you’ve paid for because doors are purposely locked.

What an incredible journey with the amazing humans at Metro rehab. My husband comes home tomorrow after 6 months recovering from a major stroke, he was carried out on a stretcher and he will proudly be walking back in when he comes home tomorrow. He spent 5 months in Metro.
I wish I had a short list of names of the the staff that were instrumental in his incredible recovery, but I don't, because every single person on the nursing staff, the rehab team, the social workers and support staff significantly contributed to Steves recovery and to get Steve to where he is today.
The support, care compassion and empathy from the team, made the journey our family was going through so much more bearable.
Even through a 3 week covid lockdown the team stayed in good spirits and did a great job caring for everyone and each other.
In terms of rehabilitation it was consistent and relevant, and communication was great, I knew exactly how Steves progress was going, even the setbacks he endured through his journey. The team on the rehab floor are very special, and every session with them really brightened Steves day.
The counselling and advice that Aimee helped Steve with, really helped us get over the many physical and mental recovery bumps he had along the way. I also really appreciated the checking in and concern for my welfare as well, it was over and above what we expected.
And the Nursing team, they are angels, with exceptional presence and availability and care, truly so great.
We are thrilled that we will be continuing Steves recovery journey as an outpatient with his Metro family.
Thankyou team from the bottom of my heart, thank-you so much for helping my husband recover and getting him back home to us in such great mental and physical condition.
Much love and respect to you all, Ange

After waking up from brain surgery paralysed up the left hand side of my body with only slight movement in my finger tips I begun my rehab journey. The team at Prince of Wales made a good start and I had movement in my arm but couldn't move my left leg properly. After 10 days at MetroRehab I achieved my goal of walking out of Sydney unassisted. The whole rehab team was great but hats off to two of the girls that looked after me most, Alessia and Maggie.

Terrible service. Staff constantly forget to give medications at appropriate times, requested ice packs never given and didnt waterproof wound prior to pool physio exercises so bandage became soaked. Also was told I had to pay out-of-pocket amount of approx $2000 even when I said I had checked with health fund prior to admittance and was fully covered with no gap.

I am absolutely disgusted and appalled at the rudeness displayed by some security personnel that work at the door of MetroRehab. During this Covid-19 period, strict changes have been made in order to limit the number of visitors to patients at this rehab centre. Upon arrival to visit a family member, my family and our Priest were met with extreme rudeness and disrespect by the guard at the front door as he brutally enforced the MetroRehab visiting rules. The introduction of stricter rules does not warrant the absolute disrespect that was shown to my family and I. Nonetheless, other guards treated us with mutual respect throughout the multiple other visits we made during the duration of our family member's stay at MetroRehab

My husband didn’t want to come home. Apparently, the food at Metro Rehab was far better than my cooking.

Insulted? Why would I be? On the contrary, for fourteen blissful days I was spared the onerous duties of cook, nurse, doctor, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, psychologist, butler, hand-maiden, bottle-washer and carer. It was respite care in every sense of the word.for him, and candidly, for me.

The level of professional and personal care Neil received at Metro Rehab was second to none. Upon his arrival, the attending physician, Dr Nicole Hele, thoroughly studied his case file, and in consultation with Dr Helen Redman, his surgeon and specialists, initiated a comprehensive personalised care strategy which effectively facilitated his recovery and recuperation process.

Working as a friendly dedicated multi-disciplined care team with a holistic approach encompassing the principles of Mind and Body, Metro Rehab provided Neil with the perfect half-way house between hospital and home.

He’s now home. I still can’t cook.

This place is a complete con job, do not beleive the glossy marketing! Worst experience I have ever had was left for an hour sitting in my own piss unable to move, due to broken legs and back injuries. I kept pressing the call button, then I heard voices outside door and tried calling out "excuse me" and they just went quiet trying to pretend they couldn't hear me. I then started screaming at the top of lungs. I tried calling reception "2" on their internal phone network that was not answered. I contacted family to come help and finally called 000 and had the police come down. I flipped over the hospital table in rage feeling trapped unable to move or escape.
Finally after nearly 2 hours of sitting in my own piss, which by this time had mostly dry and sticky, I spoke to policeman, who was very good at reasoning and understanding the total neglect of duty of care by metro, my wife arrived help me clean up finally and I got hospital to rpa with my angle and back pains exacerbated for the extended sitting.
I told them when I got there that I can only sit still for a couple of hours due to spinal fractures from t9-t12, I also told them that I had PTSD that can be triggered by pain and sense of injustice.
My wheelchair was to follow later in the day so they thought it best to sit up for lunch, in normal chair. I needed to have my left foot up as in a brace after recent Surgury, in fact the reason I was at metro was for this leg. They did not have a proper foot rest so put my foot up on a dining chair, not the optimal, but i thought it was only going to be short term so ok, I ended up sitting in same place with foot on a chair for 4 hours.
I emplore anyone thinking of sending someone here to choose somewhere.anywhere else!

Horrific. Can’t believe this place is even considered a hospital. They left my brother in law sitting in this own urine for 40 mins failed to answer any calls both though the bed call system or via phone. Failed to read medical history or pay attention when told verbally which resulted in setting off at PTSD attack then refused to enter the room to help him. Knowing he has severe injuries left him in chair for hours causing him to suffer pain. Sadly just another example of patient abuse in the care sector.

Great but too small for activities. Need enlarge private hospital. Hope so they will rebuild in best spot for Petersham-Marrickville-Enmore region.
