Very odd bunch. Did not feel welcome whatsoever. Lacking interpersonal, hard and soft skills. Would not recommend to family, friends or anyone.

They put me through a maths test for a HR role thats "on-call". Then the lady that interviewed me had to leave the interview 3 times for "personal calls". Now they dont know what stage my application is at. What can i say, just another unreputable, clumsy agency.

I have been working with Metro now for 8 weeks. I have seen many labour hire company's with shocking practices and bad safety guidelines or neglected staff. THIS IS NOT ONE OFF THEN. Thank you to the team at METRO HIRE for all your support and help in my job placement. Any day any time.

I WISH I COULD GIVE NO STARS!

Worst agency I have EVER dealt with. I went in to apply for a job with IGA and was interviewed by DAYNA, in the interview I was basically told that I would get the job pending medical. With the medical each person has to pay for there own which varies between $169 - $230 I advised her that I may not be able to come up with the funds in which she suggested that it should be ok and just to try and come up with at least $60 and they will cover the rest and then deduct it out of my first pay. I told her I may not even be able to borrow $60 from anyone this week but she insisted to proceed to the medical process. On the day of the medical I called to advise that Unfortunately I was unable to borrow the money and asked if at all possible to reschedule to a different time when I do have the funds available. Dayna then yelled at me and said that I am UNRELIABLE and because of this cannot proceed then HUNG UP on me. I called back and the line picked up then hung up immediately. I left it and thought to follow-up a bit later but when I did the receptionist advised that she was in a meeting for the whole day. I called the the following day and was told that she was AGAIN unavailable due to being in a whole day meeting.

DISGUSTINGLY UNPROFFESSIONAL!

Staff are RUDE and mediocre. I was hired for a job at Iga and the process to register is prehistoric! Apart from the long process and cramped room of approx 15 people, I had to wait an extra 20 minutes because they were in a staff meeting! (Why would you ask people to come for an interview the same time you’re having a meeting?) It was the quickest interview and I was only asked, why did I leaves polarfesh? Am I on drugs and if I can fork up $200 for a medical? ! They’re insensitive and unprofessional. I received a call later that day because they forgot a copy of my forklift licence, I called back to check if they’ve received it and was told by reception to call back in 30 minutes as they were rostering. (How long does it take to check?) I called back I’m 30 which was 5.15pm and the phone rung out. I called again then I was hung up on. I called and then someone picked up and I could only hear a child in the background. I called again and it went to metro voicemail. The most pathetic agency ever! I’ve blocked their number.

I've been employed by Metro for almost a year now first as a storeperson / pickpacker and then as a forklift operator and I'm pleased with everything. My salaries come on time every week (except understandably due to public holidays), earned a lot over the course of the entire year through one of their biggest clients (some weeks may be bad but there will be weeks when you get extra OT especially around Christmas time). After knowing I have a forklift licence, I was trained on Forklift. Most importantly, when I was injured at work, everybody at Metro have taken care of me very nicely throughout the 3 months. These include some names mentioned in the reviews here including Beck, Jess and Sheridan. As a lot of the people who know me have said, they've been very kind with me in taking me to hospitals / physio when I couldn't drive, quick with reimbursements, documentation, followup, arranging light duties when I was injured etc - In fact, the night of the injury, Cleo dropped me home from hospital at 11 pm. I keep recommending people here if they want to work with good working attitudes and have unlimited working rights in the country.

METRO ON HIRE,
From my personnel and Professional experiences with metro i have not had any issues with finding employment or securing Employees for my business.i have been with Metro for over a decade and have never experienced unprofessional or rude behavior from any staff member.
I have recommended Metro to more people than i can remember for employment and they have been successful in obtaining work in their chosen fields. All metro staff deserve an award dealing with rude and demanding people, you need to remember you went to Metro for Employment not the other way around, they do have a very high standard to up keep with what candidates they put forward to their clients as you are the face of their business when you are placed in to different roles they have chosen for you according to your interests and goals.
I WILL ALWAYS RECOMMEND METRO OVER ANY OTHER COMPETING AGENCY OUT THERE.
