Metro Petroleum reviews
11Sharp prices, both grades of Premium Unleaded, friendly staff, clean, pleasant shop, and they've just installed a new digital air compressor/tyre inflator. Got all the important stuff covered!
9 kg gas refill is $10 dearer, than roadworks Gateshead.
$20 at Gateshead, $30 at the Metro.
(That isn't cheap fuel).
Kebabs are tiny, not typical and are Lebanese made not donor kebabs. Expensive for no contents, chicken was not off a rotissarie.
They were called kebabs over the phone, so I'm not sure what they actually were
Diesel fuel- should be a bit cheaper, as it was lower than 7eleven by 15 cents and now is equal. Is that price gouging?
Possibly- how do you explain the difference, if diesel isn't 15 cents lower than 7eleven?
As it was pre-virus? How do you explain those costings?
Be warned the Mr Whippy ice cream section has a thickshake machine don't use it. You'll be served split/curdled mixture that's looks and tastes disgusting, when I approached the staff that there was a issue with the machine, I was told I had done this by adding too much syrup that I hadn't even stired in yet because it was split curdled then proceed to in a forced manner that oh you Gunna pay for it buddy you've poured it, to which I replied it's split it disgusting mate I'm a chef I think I know split curdled food, you'll pay now was reply so I did and threw it in the bin Infront of them, wow awful treatment of customer I'll never be back
Often the cheapest petrol in the area as at time of writing. The station has been recently renovated as well.
It's a petrol station what more can you say. The complex shop and pumps are looking a little tired
Friendly service but the worst servo freshly ground coffee I've ever tasted (and I survive on these things!)
Tasted like someone was trying to make the beans last longer by not grinding as many (tempted to say any!)
My wife's mocha was as bad, tasted more like diluted share warm milk.
Lucky their fuel prices are so competitive
Good service, with courteous staff, cheapest petrol in Charlestown & doing a thriving business. Very good shop attached to this business with a good variety of grocery & snack items.
Great station and quite often the best fuel price in town love youre work management and staff from.long term customer
Dodgy fuel pump kept going up in price after I released my hand off the trigger. Watched it over the course of 10 seconds and it went up 5c before I put a stop to it by placing it back on the hook. Cheaper than average petrol will not make me go back to this place, I have lost all trust in the old pumps they use.
Best petrol station in Newcastle, always the cheapest, they don't turn the pumps off after peak times and the staff are always in such a good mood.
Great to see independent service stations building good reputation, providing range of products and services to rival the major supermarkets.
