Not recommended at all!
I have purchased a house and land package with them in Gables. They are still struggling the getting the construction certificate after 6 months from receiving the DA pre-approval while all of the neighboring builders have commenced their construction. Not to mention the neighbouring builders received their DA pre-approvals months after Metricon did!
And once you ask Metricon's pre-construction manager regarding the delays all you will hear is fluff about how council approvals take time!

DO NOT GO WITH METRICON.humble request from a friend who had enough trouble from them and still continues to suffer. Save yourself

Worth a bit of research on recent news regarding their treatment of fixed price contracts and rise in complaints to the NSW Building Commissioner

Look elsewhere when building. Yes their display homes are beautiful but it is a trick.

Workmanship is pathetic when they make claims about it being of the highest possible standard. Warranty department do not care and they will give you the run around for years.

It is SHAME and DODGY business to delete and block users who want to share real building experience. Metricon’s social media rating is fake. I have consulted many users who built their houses and had a lot of defects that Metricon’s did not accept. Metricon is the worst builder who is building defective and costly homes causing financial damages to customers.

My Regret will be forever that why I chose this company. They are just using their name to grab more customers but not doing the right thing. I am expressing my frustrations from the core of my heart after giving up chasing multiple issues that they never ever cooperated. Every valid issue becomes invalid to them. They employed unprofessional site manager, unprofessional customer service people.

I have made a great mistake in my life.

Please look for a different builder before getting Metricon Homes to build your dream home. Building our home with them was more stressful than relocation from another country to Australia were we had no family or friends to start a new life, yes it was more stressful then that by far. Stay Far Far away from them. Update: 9 months since we have moved in and we are still trying to have our PCI items sorted

4 years, significant cracks and they call it settlement cracks which are not covered by my structural warranty!

Great building company & built my home from nothing up to frame work completed only took less than a month. Really happy with Metricon

It has been 22 months and we are still waiting for our 90 day defects to be done. Not even a complaint to Fair Trading got them moving despite their General Manager vowing to stay on top of our case and have our rectos attended to as a priority after we escalated a complaint to every manager we could find by email. Instead, he avoids our calls. Staff take messages and none are ever returned. No one really cares. Disappointing. Sick of trying to even get noticed.

The workers are not skilled and employment is difficult because they hire cheap employees within their own communities and families with no background education within the construction field

Love my design. Worst repairs and maintenance team Ever! It takes call after call to have someone come out to approve works. But nothing gets done, you call over and over again. Take time off work to have no show tradesmen time after time. The staff turnover is unbelievable. No one knows what’s going on. The workmenship is really bad. Buyer beware! The new response from Metricon is that this is to ‘Australian Standards’. Shame Metricon.

I do not understand, how come they have grown up to this level. I must say that their marketing and branding people are doing a great job otherwise this is one of the dodgy builder only who sells an over expensive house and charge for every single little change. Don't fall for their display homes, what you will get a very standard product which can be built by any cheap contractor. They are so busy that they do not have enough resources to handle their current clients, causing big delays on small items. I'm very disappointed with the progress made by Metricon so far. Everyone is trained, tuned to speak the same stuff but, nothing moves here. I wish I shouldn't have signed the contract. I feel like I have been trapped by them. 05th month going on and my house is still on papers. I don't know, when will they complete it. Completely Unprofessional.

Unimpressed with their quoting process. Sales guy gives an estimate. Pay a fee to do a site survey. Tender then produced and they added over 100k to the quote. Nothing special about the site to warrant such an increase. I went with another builder pretty quick.

Will not return phone calls and builders that are meant to fix things will not help.i brought a there display home and they wont even call me back

Disorganised, poorly managed, cheap trades, bad communicators, unprofessional, expensive.are just a few words that come to mind.once they have your money and contract it all falls to pieces. Use a recognised private builder if you can afford it. Metricon are just another project builder.def nothing special.
