Metal by the Metre is the place to go for your metal and fastening needs. More specialised than the big warehouses so they often have those screws, bolts or fittings you can't get anywhere else. Excellent service and advice from the people who work there.

Had heard the radio ads and needed to replace some bolts. Went in with one of what I need and they looked it at, measured it, grabbed a box of the shelf and counted out how many I needed. In and out in less than 10min. Great service, friendly, and well priced I thought. Would happily come here again.

I was a regular here while I prototyped some outdoor furniture. I really appreciated the advice and patience of the staff. I could purchase small quantities for testing, and I went through about six options while we altered the design. Only after that did I start buying the chosen fixings in bulk. It was never too much trouble for the staff, and was an enormous help.
