The gentleman and the lady were very kind and accommodating. The place is well presented, and beautiful souvenirs are available if you need one. Bonus, the shop has maps which are very helpful to locate your destination, especially if you aren't local.

Difficult to find as their large flag was not put out on the street when we got there, but a very helpful Cathy gave us some good information about the area.

People here were very informative. They were so humble at receiving visitors and patient enough to explain localities. Souvenirs were reasonably priced and worth purchasing from here.

When asked where the bathroom was, one of the two ladies replied rudely and unnecessarily aggressively with a finger pointed outside. Now this in itself paints the centre in unwelcoming light, but then both women proceeded to mock my dads chinese accent and the way he pronounced ‘restroom’, laughing their faces off like its the funniest thing they’ve heard. Next time you’re racist, at least do it when you have somewhat close to the audacity, not working in an information centre in the middle of nowhere.

A truly unpleasant experience. We went to the centre to have a look at the Oyster exhibition. When we arrived we were bailed up by a woman who acted as though she was guarding the Grand Mosque at Abu Dhabi. She proceeded to block me from looking at the maps for purchase. When my mother went to look at the Oysters the woman proceeded to follow her tell her how clear the waters were in France. When we managed to escape and look at the items for sale this same woman came up beside me to show me her gold pendant and told me that her gold chain was from Saudi. None of this was relevant to two Australians looking at what this beautiful part of the SE NSW coast has to offer. We had no choice but to leave. Awful. Particularly disappointing given how amazing our whale watching and experience at Eden had been the day before.

My partner and I went to the information center to get a window sticker. While we was looking at the stickers, a female staff came by and was extremely rude, asking pointless questions to us. We bought a sticker, paid $6.95, a few hours later we found the same sticker sold in a store for $5. It is ridiculous for a utility company to sell the same product for expensive than a private business.

Nice new spacious premises. Knowledgeable staff and volunteers will certainly provide you with plenty to do whilst visiting Merimbula. Heaps of brochures, maps and info available on attractions and accommodation. A must visit.

I rang the Information Centre 29.3.22 seeking information on where to leave our car in Merimbula for four days whilst we headed off on a hiking adventure. Within a very short time I received a very helpful phone call which sorted this problem for me. The service was pleasant, efficient and I was totally impressed. Thank you so much.

Single-handedly the two kindest workers my partner and I have ever met. After being on the road for a long time, such kindness really puts a spark in what can be such an ordinary day.
After being treated quite terribly by another customer, the female worker maintained a positive attitude, and overheard our conversation and offered more help on top of the help we had already received by her coworker.
Her male coworker was extremely happy and incredibly kind, even offering that we could contact the store if we were in need of suggestions on the road.
I hope these staff have a BEAUTIFUL day.

Helpful with attractive space and personable staff for information on what goes on in town and the area.

My sister, daughter and I attended this info centre two days ago. There were two ‘gentleman’ in attendance and from the minute we stepped inside the centre, they were so I incredibly rude! Not an ounce of customer service! They snarled at us to ‘check in’ (we were pulling our phones out to do so), asked us ‘what do you want? ’ And when we said we were keen to just browse the tourist merchandise, turned their backs on us, said they couldn’t help! (We hadn’t asked for help!) One man was just so rude! I tried to purchase some sunglasses and he told me that I couldn’t buy them as his system wasn’t working - I can I understand the frustration with that, but it was his manner and attitude that was just so incredibly rude - my sister is a local and she was mortified by the behaviour of these guys! She also said the centre is normally staffed by two women who are charming - these two men certainly should not work in a place that is supposed to help and inform tourists - we were trying to spend some money in the town and given their attitude I would never step foot in that place again!

2012 was the last time I was here as I remember speaking to a lady who lived in Granville and made the sea change to Merimbula who was very helpful and kind. I didn't appreciate the old lady that was there at the time as she was a bit snooty.
Purchased a few postcards and fridge magnets from the centre.
