Men That Move

I've just completed my move with men that move today across Sydney. The team turned up when I was told they would, and were very quick and friendly. They also perfectly disassembled and reassembled my couch as it was originally too large to fit through my old apartment. They also took great care in securing and protecting my furniture in their truck.

They also delivered reusable boxes a week in advance for free so I could pack all of my stuff which is great.

All in all after much stress over picking a company to move with, I went with men that move and don't regret it at all.

I had the absolute worst experience with that company in Jun 2020.1.the movers broke our washing machine and attempted (successfully) to hide it by plugging it in, so that we don’t have to touch it and won’t discover it is broken. I was surprised they plugged it in for free… until I found out that if I actually touch it, the front panel falls down…
2. (this is super minor, but) After the move was done the movers spent 30 minutes just drinking water that we offered and using our toilet. Which is fine. But they charged us for another hour because of that. If we weren’t kind and kicked them out instead of offering water and facilities - we would have saved ourselves over 100$.
3. (the worst part) we took the insurance for the move, so obviously we called them as soon as we found out the washing machine was broken. Not only the insurance was completely useless - they calculated how much they owe us based on the price of buying the exact same model of the exact same year of making (which was not even available). The price they came up with was below the excess. But also their customer service has hinted several times VERY TRANSPARENTLY that they often have to deal with customers that initially try to claim something is broken during the move, only to pull out after they are told the claim will be investigated. And that in their opinion is because things were broken long before the move and the people sought to profit from blaming the company. I was outraged by their attitude more than anything. Needless to say they did not apologise even once.

They are not a cheap company, but we though that by picking a higher price range and taking their insurance we are buying peace of mind. As if!

I've moved twice using these guys, including one interstate move, and they're absolutely fantastic. The free plastic box hire is incredibly convenient too.

Bogdan’s team were timely, careful and efficient in our move. The guys never complained and were really pleasant to deal with. Our only regret was not paying for the packing service as we did this ourselves. Highly recommend.

Moved a 2br unit and garage. The guys showed up on time and worked for 6 hours straight! Good service and made the move relatively stress free.

Incredibly impressed with this service! I was concerned for a few pieces I needed moved, but they were delivered perfectly! The boys were fast, incredibly careful and super polite. I'll be recommending to everyone! Easy 5 stars!

Not great, I would not recommend. First they cancel on us an hour before the move using Covid as excuse than they charge 30mins for extra 15mins over the hour. Customer service so so, feel that all they want is to take your money, but what can you do

The two chaps who helped us with our move were fantastic! They were very professional, polite and helpful. Best moving experience we've ever had and we've moved a lot!

While overall the move went pretty well, there were some issues that are hard to overlook considering the premium that men that move charges. First is that the truck that they came with was in far worse shape than their website photos implied. This wouldn't have been a big problem, except for the second issue where they didn't wrap or protect any of the large furniture. The inside wood paneling of the truck was coming apart and left splinters in the couch and tore the sheet that was left on the mattress. Again, not major annoyances, but really doesn't look good when you charge $40-50/hr more than similar services from competing removalists.

I recently used Men That Move for my move on Wednesday 12 May from Chippendale to Pyrmont and the 2 gentleman who came to move my stuff were very professional and polite and made sure my stuff was moved with care. The way the driver maneuvered the truck in the small alleyway where we lived was amazing and there was no damage done and other cars were able to pass. The move was done in 2.5hrs and I was more than happy to pay for the minimum 3hours because it was totally worth it. I forgot to get the names of the gentlemen who helped with my move but I really appreciate their professionalism and care. The whole process from booking to the actual move is simple and the website is very transparent with their prices and services so I totally recommend them to anyone who requires professional removalist at very competitive prices.

Tip: if you want to take advantage of their special offer of free boxes make sure you book them in advance so that you get them in time for the move. Unfortunately I left it too late but was still very happy with the services provided. Thank you!

Surprisingly well organised removalist company. Their booking system work pretty well. They usually arrive on time and do a very good job. They provide plastic reusable boxes which makes the moving process a lot easier. They are very responsive on emails and flexible with their schedules. I've used them multiple times in Sydney and cannot complain about any of the jobs they've done. Highly recommended.

I had high expectation for them as my husband said that his colleagues highly recommended them, but the result was not as good as I hoped. Their truck looks old, unprofessional and unclean. They did not wrap the mattress and furnitures like some of the removalist companies we used before. Our bedsheets got ripped a hole. Some of the furnitures and duvet got really dirty as well. They sent a small truck (not sure what tonnes is the truck). We couldn't fit everything in the truck and ended up leaving a lot of things behind. I still have to drive back a few times to pick left over stuff, because the truck had not enough space. I also found later when unpacking that the weight scale fell out of its box and cracked. The overall experience is really average considering the raletively high price.

Erik and his team showed up right on time and ready to go. I have had pretty avergae experiences by movers in the past, but this was amazing. I can't speak for all their movers, but Erik and his team were absolutely amazing. Professional, courteous, efficient, and craeful. Couldn't really aked for more.they worked well together and ensured everything was done right by asking the right questions.the made sure we were involved at every step. He was so detailed with everything.couldn't recommend them enough!

I used Men That Move a few weeks ago. The two men that assisted me were on time, efficient and extremely skilled. I was thoroughly impressed with the care they took with each item whilst still packing and unpacking in only a few hours.

Great experience, would give 6 stars if I could! The men worked fast, yet carefully, with loading and unloading all our furniture. They came with blankets and straps to cover and secure all items in the truck so nothing was damaged in the process. Highly recommended and would use them again!

Great service is great service and in this case it was exceptional. This company were on time, efficient, fast, cordial (even chatty) and actually helped make an extremely difficult job of moving house - (with 4 young kids) and a husband who had to run his business at the same time.
Nothing was a problem even the fact that we had to squeeze our house into an unpredictable size and these guys would not give up. I would say the owners of Tetrus should be afraid!

I've moved a few times and this was the best by far. Proper online booking (not just quoting), great communication from the driver Adam and his team, and they were really quick and careful with my stuff.
