Mecca on Bourke St is an oasis for good coffee in a heavily industrialised inner city partof Sydney. A refurbished warehouse situated on Bourke, this café packs spacious seating and a lively brunch environment. The menu could do with more than the usual typical items for a café, but the coffee was decently on point, the staff were friendly and the ability to sit here and relax reminds me that the inner city need not be all hustle and bustle.

The service was impeccable from the whole team - we felt so well looked after from the momentbwe arrived.
Lauren was so amazing and had a lot of coffee knowledge when we had questions. The food was also delicious.

Really good place for first-class coffee. I love industrial looks and open spaces. Lots of natural light and friendly service. The only problem is parking. It's an absolute nightmare to find parking around.

The perfect coffee if your looking for beans to order. I only have a basic breville coffee machine at home and its extracting the best cup of coffee with the most delicious crema. This is the house blend. Thank you Mecca for the suggestion in bean to try, im over the moon with this coffee. I’m from Melbourne and every time I go to Sydney I stop in for a meal. The coffee is superb, the food is delectable and they always have gorgeous native flowers. I’ve had a few different dishes and all of them have had well-balanced flavours and lots of healthy ingredients. I took some Mecca coffee back to Melbourne and it did not disappoint.

The space itself is fit for purpose and styled well with tasting room and roaster in the back. I particularly love the furniture and the circle back chairs.

Friendly staffs ️ love the aesthetic designs and cozy atmosphere. Great coffee selections which they roast at the back of the cafe, can’t get any fresher that that ay!? Make sure you grab something of the retail shelves for home

Bright, well-lit spot, even on a rainy day in winter. Outdoor seating in nice weather. Lots of nice seating indoors, too. Coffee roasting out the back.

? I had the farmer's lunch, which was a spectacular blend of roasted and fresh veggies with a yummy sauce.

Spacious cafes with very decent coffee. Got some coffee beans as well which are reasonable priced.

Overall: One of the best cafes in Alexandria.
Coffee: Outstanding.
Food: Delicious. Highly recommend the cauliflower schwarma and Nduja bruschetta.
Ambience: Converted warehouse, open space with big windows and tall ceilings. What more could you ask for?

Very clean and hygienic space and toilet. There are outdoor seating available on sunny days. Local’s choice ️ Will try their food on my next visit looks yummy

We finished our food, but coffee still not coming. We check once with waitress, if she found she missed our coffee order, she should at least inform barista rather than just put a new order. So bad management and destroy our weekend mood.

It is ridiculous to charge 27$ for a coffee and a loaf of bread with avo served with overcooked poached egg… I was expecting to have at least some cream cheese to add some flavour

Mecca is one of the best cafes that I've been to. The food, coffee, and service are all top tier. Every hospitality venue has their down days, as they are human—not coffee/food making robots. So to all the people who had bad experiences and left a one star review saying something like "I'll never go back", I highly suggest reconsidering. Don't miss out on a lovely experience
