36 We had the pleasure of meeting agent Neo Wang recently (as the house we are currently tenants in was up for sale) he was appointed to sell the property.
We have been long term tenants in this property and Neo went out of his way showing us the up most respect and patience during this process, we have been in this situation many times before with rude disrespectful sales agents telling us, and not asking. Neo was totally opposite and deserves a pat on the back for not only doing a great job presenting the property but in his people skills.
I would highly recommend Neo Wang to either purchase from or sell your property, i definitely will.

Absolutely gob smacked by how helpful Amanda Robertson has been from McGrath. I have found her to be genuine, helpful and easy to approach. She had promised me an email with some comparative sales on a property and emailed me at 10: 30pm at night on a Saturday with a really detailed and helpful email. Thank you!
BEWARE- Great service when you sign up for a property. But if anything goes wrong or you try to vacate a property! ****If I could give a negative mark or a zero, I would probably go -5. Unresponsive, unhelpful, unprofessional and now more than 2 weeks post handing the property back we are resorting to contact head office Mcgrath as Henry and his manager, Jyoti, are still not refunding our rent and our bond. Do. Not. Lease. With. Them. Just don’t. Worst agency I’ve dealt with in more than 20 years.
Jyoti Bassa, Area Manager at McGrath is extremely diligent in her dealings with the tenant. I am interacting with her for last 2 years and she is prompt and professional in her response with any queries. I would strongly recommend to avail her service if you are looking for real estate options in the Upper North shore area.
Jyoti has treated my family has she would her own. Her engagement, communication, availability, task execution and professionalism is first-class. My family considers itself extremely fortunate to have a representative such as Jyoti to contact. I give her my highest recommendation.
Henry recently leased my parent's place and we found him to be very professional and easy to work with. He was determined to get the best price possible and that determination worked well for us! He had sound knowledge of the market and was a great communicator. We would have no hesitation in recommending Henry to all prospective property investors and owners
Rented a property through McGrath for over 8 years, and the service started off well and then became appalling over the last couple of years.
After chasing major repairs for over a year (interior walls literally falling apart, repairs to the dishwasher that had died (for over 3 months) and an insurance claim for damage to my property (still unresolved and owing to me) I gave up and moved out.
The property manager (Henry) does not return calls or emails and I have had to apply for the release of the bond directly after chasing for more than a month.
Do not lease through this agency. Just don't.
Poor response time. Only reply emails and texts on second or third follow up. Agent turned up 10 minutes late for a 15 minutes open inspection. Agent did not notify us on the closure of their Pymble office. Late payment of bills and interest on late payment are passed on to the owners.
Highly recommend McGrath, Henry has been responsive, very friendly and patient. Thank you mate legend

I had the worst experience with this real estate and very disappointed with the lack of professionalism.
NCAT were very helpful and gave us a great outcome on the other hand.
As others have said if I could rate this organisation a negative I would. Specifically I would rate Karen Shaw as the most inept property manager I have had the misfortune of ever dealing with. She is passive/agressive and quite Narcistic, she is belligerent and has zero care factor towards a tennant. The two PM's prior to her were quite good but this person takes rudeness to a new level. As an experienced Landlord myself for over 20 years I fail to understand how this person can still be employed in property management, she is always so bitter and clearly has a chip on her shoulder, the way she treats people is appalling and she is a bully.
If you want to be treated with respect and fairly then stay away from this company but more importantly stay away from Karen Shaw.

If I could give a negative score I would, in short, if you want to be treated like dirt this is the place for you. During our tenancy:
1) Managing agent replaced without us being told for 8-9 months. When we were advised of the change the agency (Karen Shaw) didn't seem to see that this could be an issue for a tenant
2) Have had to constantly chase for the results of the final inspection and advise 3 different people of a repair required that we would pay for (painting).
3) Then had to chase for a quote for that work constantly or I expect I would still be waiting
4) Finally - having been told last week by Henry Wong that he had released our bond through RBO and to contact him if it was not received by Friday, I find today that he has not released it and I have had to apply to have the bond released myself.
Totally unprofessional, disinterested and a stain on the industry as there are some excellent agents out there. McGrath should be ashamed of how this agency operates
We have had our investment property with McGrath for over a year and found that Laura Garling was very responsive and would keep us informed.
Recently we were informed by Karen Shaw that the tenants were leaving but she provided no date. My husband had emailed her on numerous occasions with no reply to find out when the tenants were moving out. It wasn't till we received a statement that showed when they had moved, our place had been vacant for 3 weeks. He looked up McGrath and saw that Laura was no longer with the company so he kept trying to email Karen. Finally I emailed Karen and CC'd another manager in and I finally got a reply! From there we decided enough was enough and fired Karen Shaw, as soon as we did this she became very passive aggressive and rude. Deliberately told me the wrong place to get the keys so our new agent wasted their time, then told me I had made up the place. When showing her the email where she said it her response was truly disgusting saying my agent would just have to get use to driving. Finally got the keys for the property to find it had been unlocked the entire time! She has cost us money and hasn't completed her job right not completed the outgoing report within the time frame needed for the bond and delaying the tenants who moved out. Absolutely no care was given by Karen Shaw as she is an arrogant, passive aggressive and down right nasty individual who has no business being in customer service.
We were renting a property from Mcgrath. Karen Shaw was the person to contact. She is very professional, dedicated and committed to her work. From the day one whenever we need something Karen was there for us. Never took more than a day to contact. Always solved issue promptly. I will recommend her both as a tenant and as a owner.

We had a few issues with the customer service at McGrath, that being said once our property was taken over by Laura things improved immensely and she was helpful, efficient and practical!
Laura from McGrath is an absolute star, she’s more than understanding with almost any issue and always quick to come to me or get back to me with any concerns and help to make the rental experience a smooth one at all stages.
Also just a pleasant woman to chat with - feels more like a friend than anything! 10/10 Laura

Laura is very professional and friendly and we are pleased to have her as our property manager. She is very easy to contact and immediately returns calls if she wasn't available at the time we contact her. Also She attends to all the repairs and other problems immediately and she understand her clients requirements really well. Keep up the good work Laura.
