We had one of the worst experiences with McGrath, in the year we stayed as tenants in a rental they managed. Our agent got sick at the beginning of the tenancy and nobody in the entire office thought of replacing him or at least allocating the properties under his care to someone else. We had to speak to someone different every time for the major issues that came with the rental, and of course it took forever to get anything done. So glad we moved.

We just had the absolute worst possible experience with McGrath Lane Cove (this was after we have had very pleasant experiences with Jellis Craig and Raine & Horne in the past). They are very biased and have absolutely no respect for the tenants’ views or the facts. They expected us to pay for everything that had ever happened to an extremely poorly maintained/old property. This was almost entirely because we broke the lease early (although we did pay the termination fee) which clearly did not please them. In my 8 years of renting 5 properties (across Australia and Hong Kong) have never had such a pathetic experience. An agent should adequately listen to the points of view of both the parties (and just not side with the landlord). Would highly recommend avoiding them and possibly for the authorities to look into such high handed behaviour.

Horrible experience. Unprofessional, spent full tenancy with broken items in rental house and at end of tenancy they tried to claim the bond back for those items and more. Avoid at all costs.

Worst property management experience, they don't care about customers.they have been managing our property in lane cove, every time need to contact them, it will take 2-3 weeks to get back to us if they would!
property reports supposed to be sent every 6 months, we only received one in the last 2 years.
I had to manage many things for the tenant directly as McGrats agents are too busy
