68 This McDonald’s is by far the worst McDonald’s I have ever been to… and it’s my local one.
Without any over exaggeration this McDonald’s has totally stuffed our orders 40+ times.
Half filled cold chips. Orders replaced and still wrong 3 times in a row!
And today to have an order replaced to have it done in an immature sarcastic way - ordered no mayo on a burger and had it given back drowning in Big Mac sauce…

Staff at this store need a wake up call… imagine if these people started a job of some importance and responsibility. The lack of effort and laziness makes me wonder how they even make it to work each day.
Rather then pressure your junior staff to be QUICK how about you train them to do it RIGHT…. THE FIRST TIME
Advertising as a 24 hour restaurant is a stretch, every time I try and stop in to get a late night feed while on night shift they always have the drive thru blocked with milk crates and a notice on the door saying "Store Closed"
We asked for extra hot coffee and it's just warm.
And my wife said the lady's toilet was dirty and no lock on the toilet door you had hold it closed
Very poor.
Bins out side overflowing.
Went there this morning. They need to make sure they give the right order to the right person. Not happy
Drive Thru regularly stuffs up the orders. Always check your order before you take off. Has to be the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. Worth the extra drive to East Maitland if you want your order actually fulfilled. Would consider blanket drug testing of all staff at Thornton due to the constant missing food and utensils when ordering via drive thru.
Never seen such a disrespectful staff at maccas especially the manager. She need some basic skills like customer service, management. She didn’t took our order because we were on truck and unable to go through drive thru. When we said we said that we can order and can pickup from outside and she simply said no as she doesn’t care. Really frustrated from her behaviour.
I highly recommend avoiding this McDonald's if possible! Waited over 20 minutes in drive thru for no apparent reason. There was only 3 or 4 cars in front of me and hardly anybody inside. Staff need training in customer service, as no one apologised or even acknowledged the ridiculously long wait and to top it off, they even managed to stuff up my simple order of two burgers! Should've gone to KFC.
Ordered a chicken wrap grilled, got chicken burger crispy, ordered grilled chicken burger, got crispy chicken burger, ordered nuggets with barbecue sauce, got no sauce, asked at pick up was sauce in the bag, girl replied yes. Paid more for grilled chicken but didn't get it, hopeless service.
Thornton Maccas manages to eat shit with the best of them.
Making an order at the drive through is basically like buying a raffle ticket: what you hope for compared to what you actually get is pretty much just a matter of luck. You might maybe get what you ordered (unlikely), you might get something missing, or you might hit the jackpot and just get someone else's order you didn't even ask for.
Also, their soft serve machine is permanently broken; so don't bother asking them for anything that needs it.
Only been through drive through twice since moving up this way and both times they didn't deliver the special request of no lettuce no sauce on my daughters burger. On one occasion even putting the grill sticker on the box
If you like items missing from your order and your coffee cold, I suggest you shop at this McDonalds. It's was a satisfying experience completing a second loop around the drivethru to receive a missing hashbrown (after being assured all items were in the bag) only to arrive home to find my bacon and egg Mcmuffin was a sausage Mcmuffin. It went down well with my cold coffee.
It's Macdonalds. Generally the same as what you get from other Maccas stores. Food is pretty tasty, but the serving size of the fries is a bit lousy as usual. And the best bit was the coke. But it is convenient and reliable for a quick and easy feed.
This McDonald's is the worst McDonald's I have ever been to the service is shocking and you've gotta wait some most times for like ages

Thornton maccas is one of the slowest unorganised restaurants that I have ever been to!
20mins in drive through for two burgers two sundeas one custard pie
Bought promotional meal with glass tumbler. Purchase was provided with no glass. When this was raised with the staff they said they had none left. I told the crew member the glass was the reason I had bought the meal. They looked at me did not respond and began serving someone else. I felt in lieu of the glass being provided they could have upgraded the drink to a large or something similar and could have been made aware that the promotional item was not available. The chips box was only half full also
Food was ok but the service was lacking
Asked them to clean the table and were told to sit elsewhere. We were also told that the tables with " can't sit here" Covid stickers were actually available to use.
NOTE: This is no hate to the staff. Just the system.
After coming here a lot, I’ve realised that drive through is first priority. And yes, I can understand why you wouldn’t want to keep 15 cars waiting down the entire street. I get it. But when ordering inside, it always takes us around 20 to 30 minutes until we are served. We never know if we should just eat somewhere else or stay a little longer in hopes they get it us soon. It’s pretty ridiculous and I really think the system should be changed. At least one staff member should be on front counter either at all times or at least every five minutes because whenever I or anyone else around the Thornton area goes into the restaurant, absolutely nobody is on front counter and absolutely nobody acknowledges your existence for at least half an hour.
Ordered a large meal and got less than half a pack of fries, the burger was thrown in the box like slop with with about half a bottle of sauce on the burger, will never purchase from there again, wouldn’t recommend!
Quick easy meal after arriving home late. Don't go to Mecca's very often anymore. Things have gone downhill.
Dirty unclean dining area, staff were rude, manager in particular (have sent complaint to head office). Ordered a frappe and two cheeseburger meals and nuggets, frappe came without cream, asked politely if we could have cream, (thought they may have forgotten) manager turned around rudely and snapped "well we have none"! Give that information out when people are ordering or when we pick up just say "oh we've run out of cream". Cheeseburgers in particular were just dripping with so much fat/oil, fries were much the same. Have had the same experience on a few occasions now, have sent complaint to head office previously, nothing much seems to be rectified, will drive the extra 10 minutes to go to East Maitland in future.
