I was truly impressed by the peaceful ambiance and extensive collection of books. It's a haven for book lovers like me, and you can have a free access on the Library’s Wi-Fi, Free Membership, Free Charging station just incase your gadget run out of battery and it’s also near to some coffee shops, food shops and just beside westpoint blacktown

It's so hot inside this library (atleast today), that it's very difficult to concentrate. Otherwise, decent library.

A very well organised and clean library with vast collection of books and really love the kids special programs. Specially the Friday 11 am kids story time even they give supplies for crafts these kind of programs build kids interest going to Library Really easy to borrow books.

Well the atmosphere seems to change in the library depending on the time of day. If you want anything serious done it is best in the morning. By late afternoon the place is overwhelmed by young scholars. Sometimes at these times it is difficult to find a suitable space. Often the young do not recognise the value of quiet. Still we all learn with age, hopefully. Otherwise why complain, the library is for all. It is difficult to control behaviour when all segments of the general public have to be catered for. That's all I can contribute. Bye. June 6 2023. The Max Webber Library has changed a lot since my last posting above. There are many more people going into the library these days. It would seem that they are struggling for entertainment at a certain level especially after the COVID 19 pandemic. Also the library is a clean environment and the serenity in the place can provide a refuge from the outside chaos, relatively speaking. Myself, I am reading far more library books than ever, I did not realise the extent of the catalogue available. Being somewhat new to Blacktown, I used to regard the selection of available material as limited. I am impressed with some of the literature on Australian history, especially early settler and convict transportation from Britain. Well I will not elaborate more. Thomas Stevens. Enjoy.

Level 2 has the best focus spots, and vibe cafe is always a good place to catch up with old friends:)

It was super huge. Librarians are very helpful. I asked them for the headphones but they didnt them. They said they would tell their managers to provide us with headphones next time. I really appreciated for that!

I visit Max Webber Library at least once a month. Roger Swanson's movie club provides interesting movies that give something to think about. I love this movie club, there are good people and a nice atmosphere, we laughed and cried together.
As for the library, we used to go there with my kids (about 10 years ago). There were nice events for kids, and they are still doing this.

Hi there.
This place is pretty good. It's really big especially because i'm small. It has 2 floors.
The staff here are kind and nice and helped us when we where looking for some books.
The library has a large variety of books and the manga shelf is like 5 metres long.
Overall, i like this place, except it's really big.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great services in the library and online. Up to date with the latest technology so there's access for all the community. I like what they've done with the decor in recent times, the trees in the children's area look terrific from outside. Really warms the place up. Close to shops and transport. Handy parking underneath, but the lift is the slowest I've ever used in my life. Blacktown Council needs to provide funding for a new one.

JP services need to be improved. The guy on duty 10.4.21 at 2.00pm was very rude to the community seeking assistance. Very impatient and kept telling people off for incorrect documentation. For most people it is a rare opportunity to use the service so please be more understanding if they don't do the right thing or miss out on what needs to be provided.
I sat there watching each person being told off for something or the other. Many were from non English speaking backgrounds.
Extremely disappointed.

Returning grandchildrens library books Easter Saturday morning and my car was locked in the library carpark! For 4 days! I should be grateful WE weren't locked in too!

I'll give the library and staff full 5 stars but the JP service is disappointing. Unlike another review which pointed out that the JP was rude, the JP on volunteer today was "so friendly" that she was chatting with every requestor for a really long time. If you want to socialise with a JP, this may be the JP service for you, not when you just want to get some docs sighted and signed by the JP. I gave up before my turn because she took a full 30 mins just on 2 tickets. Sigh

Great place to study quietly, borrow books, use computers for free and JP services available as well.
