Paul was friendly and fantastic.
I thought my VF just needed a transmission service but the torque converter was leaking, so Paul replaced it for me. Paul also found I had a broken engine mount and a few other problems.
Now my car drives like new. I can't thank Paul enough for getting my car safe again.

Paul was very helpful and informative when helping me with my mechatronics! Got the job done fast and was able to get my car days before expected!

Paul assessed our 2016 Jeep Renegade and determined what parts were needed. Unfortunately, the part was so expensive that Paul believed that it wasn't in our best interest to have the car repaired. Even though he spent time and did himself out of a job he didn't charge us anything. A more honest mechanic with integrity you will not find anywhere. I whole heartedly recommend Paul for any mechanical work that you need.

BEST EXPERIENCE. Very good customer service, very good at what they do and most importantly very honest. My wife and I had an urgent matter with our cars’ transmission and we were told to contact Matwil repairs as they specialise in them. We called them and they were very helpful and had the car sent to them. Once they had a look they informed us that the problem was mis-diagnosed (from previous mechanic) which ended up saving us a huge amount of money, they fixed the real issue within the day and had the car ready for pick up promptly. We were extremely pleased to say the least. Highly recommend this place, we will be returning for any future car problems and services etc + Paul is very kind and easy going. Thank you Matwil!

Paul was extremely kind, patient and professional. We are always a little wary because we often get persuaded into paying alot more we should. It was a good experience dealing with Matwil Automotive Repairs. I don't usually feel compelled to write down a review unless the service is overwhelmingly good to be sending people down their way.

Update: Paul was spot on and intuitive about the fault in our car. He advised us to send our Volvo back to Volvo as the issue was not a transmission problem. Volvo insisted the rattling sound was a transmission issue and told us it would cost us $5K to fix it. We took Paul's diagnosis and said it was not a transmission issue. At the end of it, Volvo found out it was a silly metal holder which broke and was causing the rattling sound. We actually went in circles trying to fix the issue with different auto repair shop and is really close to sell off the car. But thanks to Paul, who was extremely professional and kind, we managed to solve the issue for just $500 and saved the car. Thanks again Paul, will only go to Matwil for any future transmission issues.

Paul is an expert at what he does. I came in with a transmission whine after another mechanic 'serviced' the transmission. Paul gave me a run down of what it might need, but said he would have a look first. He solved the problem and did a proper service for less than what the other mechanic charged me.
I said to Paul that it's the first time I've been lucky when it comes to car servicing/repairs. The truth is it wasn't luck, Paul is just very good at his job.

If you have a problem with your auto transmission, don't waste your time or money going anywhere else.
