The sonographer told me the sex of my child at 36 weeks despite just having a conversation that I didn’t know the sex and wanted a surprise. My husband was not with me at the time so I had to decide whether to also tell him and this stress I’m sure contributed to me going into spontaneous labour that evening.

It took me 3 times to try to get an appointment there. Finally we got an appt one month away. Few days before the appointment they called me to push it back a bit. And then the day of the appointment they called me 15mins before to cancel it! We were already on our way there. I won’t be booking there again.

I have been coming to Mater Imaging since 2013 now I -Med.
The service then, and now 2023 from the front desk, to the radiotherapists to the doctors has always been superb.
A special mention and deep gratitude is required for Georgina Bedwell, and Dr Kim who in 2013 diagnosed my cancer and thus saved my life. Eternally grateful Thank you all!

They are great once you get there, but good luck getting an appointment. Phones are almost never answered, and the web app that they have for doing this is clunky, and rarely works; most restaurants do better. For appointments now, I typically go in, and while it works for me, that would not for others. They need to fix this one problem in an otherwise really fine practice.

5 days after two rounds of MRI imaging and countless phone calls do I now only have my results. Not good enough.

I wish I can rate them minus 10.
I was trying to make a booking calling many times but noone answered.
I've been having all my tests for many years since 2011. However for the last couples of years the service level has decrease dramatically.

Had another MRI last week. The radiologist was so caring and helped me through my pain and anxiety. The reception staff were great with booking appointment and generally very caring.

Tried multiple times to call during the day but no one picked up. Eventually got through and made an appointment. Melanie from front desk was quite rude.

I just had Scott and Dr Mckessar do an ultrasound and biopsy for me. Both talked me through the whole process and were extremely gentle. Reception staff are also worth their weight in gold. Only down side is you now need to pay for the parking.

This used to be a quality radiology practice but now that it is iMed, everything has gone down hill so fast. Patients walking around with transparent gowns, no more free patient parking and still have to pay out of pocket for exams? ! Reception is so short staffed compared to before, they don't even have time to answer the phone when there's a queue out the door. The waitlist for exams have blown out to months because there's no staff to provide service.
Will be telling my specialist not to refer here anymore.

I have tried all day to call and make an appointment for an ultrasound, but no one picks up the phone and the line eventually cuts out. I called the main hospital who's aware of this problem, that Mater Imaging is extremely busy. Extremely frustrating.

Worst experience!
I had ultra sound in August and they didn’t send the result to my Dr. Even though it was really important and MRI was suggested in the result. I asked them later, they said they will send it to my email and they even didn’t do that. When I went to see my GP for check up, she called them to get the result on the phone. I booked the MRI and as usual they gave me time in more than a month. I was 30mins late by mistake. I know if you are a few mins late, they won’t do your imaging but when I was on time I had to wait for 1 hour to be called for my imaging to be done. What they do means their time is much more important than the patient. They made so many mistakes that we should accept but they don’t accept any from client.

If you want to be yelled at by a very rude sonographer when you basically asking to see your baby on the screen for $200- then come here, if you want at least that someone speaks to you professionally without raising its voice and being extremely rude or any other normal way of treatment- go somewhere else even to Harbour Radiology with very nice people.

Will the radiologist and all of the staff really left a great positive impression on me they were so friendly and helpful will be returning and making the drive to here in future appointments

It's a bit inconvenient for check in because they don't use NSW services app, however staff are nice, friendly and pretty quick service, highly recommended

I had a late night MRI, the front staff were extremely kind and helpful, very friendly, and the technician was so lovely, made an extra effort to make me comfortable, I was very nervous, she was so patient and caring, and I found the room upgrade very calming. All in all an excellent experience, and parking was validated too.

As a high risk patient for breast cancer, I always feel confident and cared for at Mater Imaging. After having had some awful experiences elsewhere, I'm so relieved to have peace of mind with the team at Mater. It makes the journey easier.

I am extremely disappointed at the poor service I have received. I had a MRI for my right shoulder on Thursday 1st April at 7: 00am. I have subsequently made four phone calls over the space of a week to try and obtain a copy of the report of this scan. Each time I have been told by the receptionist that it has not been signed off by the consultant doctor. The last phone call was made today at 4: 45pm, 8 days after the scan was performed. No report has yet been forthcoming. Until the results of the scan are reported on, no further treatment can be performed to restore function in the shoulder. If I knew that it would take this long I would have gone elsewhere. This poor level of service is unacceptable.
