Mastercut Family Meats reviews
10 If you live in the Penrith District and like good meat, Brandon and his friendly Team at Mastercut Family Meats will not let you down.
Their meat is nice and fresh.
Their specialised meats with coatings are made out the back of the shop which is a rareity these days. Try the Chicken Schitzels and sausages. They are second to none. I pan fry my Chicken Schintzel in Rice Bran Oil and add some salt. They are absoulutley delicious and tender.
The snags are how I like them and being made on site is rare these days with most other retailer's snags being made offsite which taste more like franfurts to me.
The bacon is also made on site, smoked out the back of the shop and not made in a factory as most are these days.
The photo is a simple and relaxing Sunday Brekky.

If you want a Beef Burger as shown in the photo below, you will have to make it yourself.
Fresh Beef Mince made fresh within the shop and Bacon smoked within the shop from Mastercut Family Meats, with egg, onion, tomato beetroot and lettuce, toasted bun from Bakers Delight and a good tray to catch the beetroot that slips out the side.
You won't get one of those in a Fast Food Restaurant.

If you want an easy delicious healthy dinner the following Stir Fry is hard to beat.
From Master Cut Family Meats: -
Chicken Breast cut into strips
Eye of the Fillet Steak into Strips
Bacon cut into small pieces for flavour
Veges: -
Snow Peas
Small cup mushrooms
Carrot cut into small sticks
Bean Shoots
Other: -
Changs Long Life Noodles (Boiled then put in at end and stir fry
The only ready made ingredient, a good chicken stock
A good Soy Sauce.
Rice Bran Oil
Corn Flower to thicken the stock
A cold beer or two.
A WOK for cooking is best
By the way, I tried a whole fresh chicken from Mastercut Family Meats a few days ago and it was the best that I have for many years. No sealed packet with a moisture pack in it taht feels heavy for the size. Straight out fresh chicken.

Maybe getting a little more than a review, however my reason is as follows.
A few years ago, my wife would feel nausea after eating chicken breast and other meats from those plastic tubs with clear plastic sealed tops sold in varous food outlets.
After speaking to a friend, she was told that they and others had the same symptoms.
Would you believe that certain gases, two of which are carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, are pumped into food packaging.
The packaging is called Modified Atmospheric Packaging or MAP.
Do a Google search on "gases used in meat MAP packaging" and you will be shocked. Also google search on "Carbon monoxide" which will show, a poisonous gas
The gases in packaging would be minute, but I wouldn't like to eat too much of it.
The gases are used to extend shelf life and keep the pink appearance in meat.
Once whilst walking through a supermarket, I saw meat which appeared purple under the fluorescent light in the refrigerator.
Check the use by date on an MAP pack of "ocean fresh fish". Fresh fish doesn't last very long.
Anyhow, I had some beautiful tender roasted fresh lamb cutlets on a rack tonight with rosemary from the garden and roast spuds and pumkin. The Pumkin was from the garden.
Fresh meat for me any day.
The meat is always fresh and tender, you won't be disappointed! The guys smoked hams at chrissy and it was fantastic! Treat yourself

This is my go to, the guys aways take their time to give me the best service, advice and product. I Only buy from these guys now!
Wouldn’t shop anywhere else. The boys at the shop are friendly and accommodate every request. Best cutlets I’ve tasted
Good Quality Meat, Friendly service.
Always happy to accommodate how I like the Cut prepared.
I come across the river to get my meat from here. The meat has always been fantastic, reasonably priced and the staff are super friendly. Have recommended to quite a few of my friends and they're impressed too.
We won a $20 voucher from the meat raffle at the golf club to use here so I thought for a treat I’d buy some crumbed lamb cutlets (we never eat lamb it’s too expensive)
I bought 12 cutlets for a total of $56! Used my voucher and paid the difference on eftpos.
Went home and cooked the cutlets that same night.
They were very tough and my husband who is a chef said it was mutton not lamb. My son said he thought they tasted a bit funky.
Anyway about a hour after we ate I was having stomach cramps and then started spewing. About 30 mins after I spewed my daughter woke up and was violently ill, then shortly after that my son too!
The three of us were running to the bathroom all night and slept with bowls next to us in case we might spew.
My husband who had eaten 4 cutlets was violently ill the next day and could not go to work.
The only person in our family who wasn’t sick was our toddler who had refused to eat dinner that night.
This is the first time I have ever shopped here and absolutely the last time. I will also no longer be supporting the meat raffle at the club ever again if this shop is the one supplying the meat.
Absolutely putrid! I have made a official complaint with the department of health too!
The meat is really fresh. The prices are fair. They often have different things that they’ve made up. The service is great and the guys look like they really enjoy being at work.
