These guys don’t manage properties - they take the money and do the minimum. This crack is over 12 months old- zero action!

Jillian Hull from Mason and Brophy has been our Strata manager for several years now and she has proven to be exceptional. We are in the process of remediation of our building and Jillian has been a huge support sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience to guide us throughout this challenging process.
She is extremely professional and has gone out of her way to assist us on numerous occasions.
Thanks for all the hard work you do Jillian as it is much appreciated.

Our Committee and Owners are quite happy with Mason & Brophy as our strata managers, because financial information is clear and readily available on the Portal. The Portal works well, it's easy to use.
The response by email is generally prompt, not necessarily 24 hours, although good, except for during our strata manager's holiday or sick leave. She is a pleasure to deal with.
Talking on the phone is costly.

Lisa Simonetti at Mason and Brophy has been an outstanding strata manager for our building. With 54 units we have our share of challenges but these are handled with the minimum of fuss due to Lisa's calm and methodical approach. I would happily recommend Lisa Simonetti at M&B.

To whom it may concern!

I have owned a unit at Monash Pde Dee Why for over 18 years. During that time Mason and Brophy have been the Managing Agents. I have always been on the Owner’s Corporation and more recently held the position as Chairperson.
Our unit block is of an older style and, as such, has been in need of continual maintenance. This has included the replacement of the old wooden windows, the total roof being replaced and also replacing sections of the damaged concrete driveway: to name but a few jobs.
All of this work, over the 18 years, has been managed by a range of Strata Managers working for Mason and Brophy.
I have never had any problem linked to any requests for assistance that I have given them. All jobs have been handled promptly and with due diligence. The advice offered to our Owner’s Corporation by Mason and Brophy’s Managing Agents has been accurate and helpful.
Since the beginning of March 2023 Joshua Bruzzano has been our unit complex’s Managing Agent. He has handled all requests given to him with the upmost efficiency and professionalism. Just last week an urgent safety issue was dealt with in a matter of only an hour or so of me emailing him. I was very impressed by this quick action.

The big questions on the mind of anyone reading this would be:
1. ‘Is our Body Corporation thinking about moving to some other Strata Managing Agent? ’ … and the simple answer is ‘No’. All on the Owner’s Corporation of our complex are very happy with Mason and Brophy.
2. “Would you recommend Mason and Brophy to be our Managing Agents?
Yes I would.

We are certainly very pleased with the great service that our Strata Manager, Kylie, from M&B, provides. Kylie is always very prompt in raising issues, or in replying, as well as in arranging work orders, reliable tradesman or other actions. Kylie is also very professional, thorough, diligent and courteous. Highly regarded and highly recommended. Ian - Chairman Owner's Corp.

Alison Ritchie from Mason & Brophy is by far the best Strata Manager I have ever dealt with. Her in depth knowledge and her ability to deal with multiple issues and personalties has never ceased to amaze me. She is organised, contactable and honest and I cannot recomend her highly enough.

We had Heather as our representative from Mason and Brophy. From the moment we first conversed to the last, she was useless, incompetent or it seemed she had no clue what she was doing or she put the blame on her juniors for any mistakes. Multiple times she sent us other apartment’s private detailed paperwork. Was late to our meetings, and made it clear she hadn’t done her homework prior to meetings. Was useless obtaining good competitive quotes or helping us make good financial decisions. Was always embarrassingly late paying our tradies (after we chased her more than multiple times). We ended up taking over a lot of work she was meant to do her side for the apartment complex. And then there was a financial ‘confusion’ and she withheld our money until our account with mason and Brophy was changed to another management business and they washed their hands clean of the problem. Thankfully it wasn’t just us, the whole apartment complex was sick to death of the terrible service we were paying good money for.

Overall I would describe this business as incompetent and no I would not refer to a friend. My advice is to look elsewhere for a good, hard working local management group that cares about your building’s community.

Not sure what these people do. We are renting and paying rediculous money for a strata scheme that hasn't been maintained. Rude and unhelpful reception. Disinterested and unhelpful strata managers. Unhelpful when you ask about smoke alarm safety in the complex when you have a two year old and tell them the agents are crooked and gave you a property with faulty locks, faulty smoke alarms, failing electricity, and numerous other problems.

These strata managers have been managing the property for at least 5-7 years, as I have become aware of numerous problems here, including a store room/toilet area full of hazardous substances which even some of the owners seem concerned about.

Not sure what you're doing for your money guys, but you're leaving us feeling unsafe to live here, and people renting or buying aren't getting what they're paying for and are being misled because things aren't up to scratch. Do better. Do the right thing. Earn your keep.

Our company provided a building service to one of the buildings that Mason & Brophy is managing. The person who we dealt with was Alison. She, unlike many others, knew the procedure, which makes the job to be done easier and more efficient. Also our invoice was paid by the due date. Over all, we can rate our business experience with Mason & Brophy 10 out of 10.

Jillian Hull from M&B is efficient and informative. She responds to emails quickly and has a pleasant manner on the phone. Jillian has only been our M&B rep for a short while hence only 4 stars. Thank you Jillian.

Kylie Hocknell is our Strata Manager of a small industrial property in Brookvale. On a regular basis she provides extremely efficient and courteous service and all done in such a friendly way. We are dealing with a major air con maintenance issue that has required amendment of our by laws and negotiations with the project tenderers and legal advisors. Once again a pleasure having her managing it with efficiency, and courtesy.

Zero customer service when it comes to responding to emails regarding Strata fees. They still send the bills, but will never reply to queries. Their billing system is also pathetic, and not clear. I have now given up, and will be getting my Solicitor involved.
