Martin Place reviews
30Always a nice place to walk. We went on Christmas day. The Christmas tree was beautiful, the lights changed to the rhythm of the music!
Good place to shop around and walk. It was wonderful christmas tree when i was there and i got to hear christmas song and it felt like Christmas.
A must go during the festival times and a good place for a walk, eat, drink or shop at other times as well.
Stately if someone corporate pedestrian mall lined with historic sandstone buildings. Highlights are the GPO and the old Commonwealth Bank money box buildings. New Martin Place metro station should help to active the area after hours from 2024. Would also benefit from more F&B offerings.
The Martin Place Christmas tree itself warrants a visit… I’m not big into Christmas but the display tree is always impressive. But the Sydney Cenotaph is also impressive with so much history and significance. A busy hangout spot during the week with office workers having lunches.
If you do love the classy design of Giorgio Armani. Armani got his pad at this relaxing spot. Or maybe you need the affordable-nice and comfort suits to purpose your love one? M. J Bale also has his smart spot at this place).
Really enjoyed walking through the street in the late night and the huge christmas tree with light & music show amused me. Was such a beautiful visual treat to eye & ear. Branded outlets on the either side of pedestrain street, Old building lit up with warm lights makes the place more beautiful.
A wide central pedestrian street in the CBD lined with heritage buildings, where people can meet and gather and sometimes there's events or street performances.
At Christmas time, it's also home to a large famous Christmas tree that's colourful in daytime and lit up with bright colourful lights and choreographed Christmas songs at night that's popular to visit.
A tourist attraction place where you can find historic architectures and buildings. And every year during the Christmas time, a big christmas tree and decorations are done here. Nice place to visit and is in a walking distance from Town Hall station.
Lights on the Christmas in Martin Place were stunningly beautiful and changed colours to Christmas music. Lovely display
I love Martin Place and I'm always there for many legendary reasons.
Great visuals and top location!
Be better if tradies who were in the same building read the covid signs and abided by the restrictions that are in place for EVERYONE.this tradies total disregard for other peoples safety was disgustion and disrespectful to say the least. Tge security need to do better in enforcing the covid rules and restrictions.
Such a beautiful place to visit and for the the the people who come from around the world to see our wonderful and perfect City
Great music held in the middle Martin place. It was a ticket event.
Thanks to YCK laneway for the putting the event together
One of Sydney’s most popular pedestrian malls, Martin Place stretches from Macquarie St to George St in an east-west alignment. Surrounded by a mix of heritage and modern buildings it is seen as the heart of the city and is close to transport, shops and food/drink options. Not to be missed if you’re a visitor to Sydney.
Allways smart and clean even with construction works. Great shops with amazing window displays.
What can I say about being there at 4am? Not much, at the time. But the atmosphere and the Dawn Service, being part of it? Wow! I really didn't know what I was missing. Went with friends, it helps a lot.
I went to the Australia Post Office.
This is probably the oldest post office in Australia. It's quite large, there are many counters and service is usually quick.
30 years ago I used to drive down Martin Place but it's become a pedestrian mall for a long time now.
It includes statues, a fountain and the Martin Place entrance to the underground Metro.
A nice pedestrian mall and walking street in CBD that I enjoy walking pass over the year. It has a good CBD vibes and I especially love this area during Christmas that they put a huge Christmas Tree in the middle of this place and it feel very festive.
Not a place I visit however, I am passing through over the next few months to attend my appointments at the Sydney Eye Hospital. But what I have seen it is a very busy place, people are in a hurry and the train station is clean. Unable to give a review on any shops due to the nature of my stop over and the weather heavy rain and one side vision.
