Marsden Park (Park Central) reviews
21Clean up the waterways. The fountain area is great but the rest of the ponds/streams are choked with the weeds. In the past you have said that it is natural but council spent six weeks last year cleaning up the main ponds and have left the rest clogged. The fish that were there 6 years ago are gone. The swans had 6 Babies and all but 1 survived. Have lived on the park 10 years and this last 2 years a disgrace.
Campbelltown Private Hospital consist of hydrotherapy and specialist centres, plus there are more medical centres nearby. The park is right opposite for people and children to enjoy while having lunch or coffee/tea from eatery places right opposite the park.
It’s a complete park with the combination of kids park, duck ponds and walking track. You can bring your kids for fun and you can have a walk around the park. There are cherry flower garden inside the park. It blooms in spring and make the park more beautiful.
An amazing place to go to with your family and friends, no bogans and no idiots who will annoy you - Just peaceful, also if you like nature then you will probably like the park. People who like meditation can do it here as there is a quiet are near the Fitness Area.
We like the ducks, swan & pigeons & the fountain plus the peacefulness and relaxing surroundings.
Great work out equipment and easy paths to walk or push wheelchairs on very good childrens play equipment
Great little patch of parkland in the midst of suburbia Well kept gardens, with a lovely pond/water park in the middle of it all. Great for local wildlife
Small, well maintained and quite diverse. It includes two lakes, a water spout, a piece of natural bushland, a nice children's play area, exercise machines snd nicely graded walkink parks. Many bird species including black swans, several kinds of ducks, swamp hens, coots, various parrots, wrens and numerous hinry eaters.
The park has a very lovely sense of proportion and purpose. It turns the centre piece of both the housing estate and the medical precinct, uniting them together. The area around the creek and the small ponds is very conducive to slowing down and reflecting. The parkland also connects to nearby areas of parkland.
We enjoy walking along the paths, watching the ducks and the playground is decent. Always a little busy though
Park is clean and well kept. Fair amount of seating with some shade.
As always, almost impossible to find parking during the day.
Nicand restful. Has all the amenities but parking can be a problem during the working day. Cafe close by and contains free to use exercise equipment.
I hadn't been back to Campbelltown for many years, This park dedicated to a Campbelltown Great John Marsden was fantastic, peaceful, tranquil. A great place to take young Children, where they will find plenty of room to run and play. There are plenty of species of birds, from pigeons to Black Swans.
Really nice park with a duck pond, playground for the kids. Bbq's are scattered about and free to use. There is even a fitness section with a few stations to use. Overall a very nice park.
Enjoyed watching the ducks and swan swimming. It's nice how you can feed the ducks. Park is clean and well maintained.
Take your family and go for a stroll. It's very relaxing.
Awesome spot for family picnic woth freinds amongst a lovely backdrop.
Ive been here a few times for kids parties and it was fantastic.
It also has exercise equipment and its free if you want to go down for a gym workoiut and not pay big bucks.
Not great parking though.
Great place to vist BBQ area kids play ground duck pond exercise area and more great for walk or group exercise as well.
Fairly decent sized park with ponds, gardens, grassed areas, walking tracks, playground and workout equipment. Beautiful views with different kinds of wildlife located throughout the park. I enjoyed my time spent there and look forward to future visits.
Plenty of open space. A small pond, sheltered seating, good ratio of cement walk ways and grass, water taps. Hard to find a flat piece of grass to train on though.
