Dealing with MARS has caused me severe mental distress.

I was assigned to a company, and my contract was set to end on Monday, February 28,2022. On Thursday, February 24,2022, I received a contract extension to remain onboard until the end of May. I called MARS and informed the recruiter that I did not wish to extend my contract. She responded, "They really like you, and we don't want to burn bridges. " She continued to say, "The extension is only until May. Stay onboard, and then we can find something else for you. " I felt unheard and ignored for months.

So I told the recruiter that I would finish my current contract and would be happy to stay on until they found a replacement, but I would not sign the extension. They progressed from being "friendly" to threatening to withhold my final paycheck. They harassed and bullied me for days! They would send me messages claiming that "the client" had said this or that. When I contacted the HR coordinator at the company where I was stationed, they stated that they had not spoken with anyone from MARS and advised me to contact the HR manager to see if he had. It was March 1st, and the HR manager informed me that he had no idea I was not extending my contract and that MARS had not communicated with anyone from HR.

My final paycheck was processed and the harassment stopped once I contacted Fair Work.

Nobody deserves to be emotionally abused in this way. Enough is enough.
