Maroubra Beach Playground reviews
8 Fenced in playground with soft flooring right next to beach. Targeted towards younger children, not much of interest for kids 5+.
I imagine the people who attend are locals or kiddos who need a break from the beach. Not much reason to head here specifically for the playgrounds.
Toilets nearby, just at the surf club.
Parking on street and in lot. Gets busy during peak times.
Parking is not always available, it's cooler than anywhere else in Sydney especially in the current weather, it's a beach your going to get sand everywhere.
Maroubra beach is a local beach in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, Australia. It is a big beach with lots of great surfing spots. It also has a couple of great rock pools at the south end. Great for kids. Local shops supply the locals and out-of-towners with good food and great surf gear. The Maroubra Bay hotel is a large pub and has great service and a great supply of drinks from cold beer to great wines. Just up north about 1km you'll find Mahon pool, an excellent rock pool for a casual, cooling swim. On the south side of the beach is the Rifle Range, sometimes you can hear them practising. The Aboriginal meaning is Thunder and Lightning. Do yourself a favour and go there. ️️️
Large fenced playground just adjacent the beach, the skate park and a handy parking area. Safe and packed with jungle gyms and other amenities for different ages, but no swings.
Been there both at noon and at night, and despite being completely dark at night, it’s however safe and the kids ran around and played happily in bunches.
Recommended!
Quite a large playground for the kids to run around in, with an ocean theme. Strangely, no swings.
A perpetual favorite. Well maintained playground adjacent to the beach. My child loves going there.
A gated playground which is catered for both pre-schoolers and school kids. Right next to the beach so it can get windy. Bring an extra jacket all season.
Excellent playground for the kids.
Take scooters and skateboards and you can visit the skate park when you are done. Big carpark ride right next door. Good cafes around to get food and coffee. There is the beach to swim and cool down. Take your your food for a Bbq picnic.
Avoid Sunday mornings, this is when Nippers is on and the whole area is so busy.
