We booked in the “spoil the one you love” package and indeed loved the entire menu and paired wines. We were lucky enough to be shown some of the winery and garden. Highly recommend. Thanks Lisa for taking the time to show us around!

Another special lunch on Friday at Margan. Two were celebrating birthdays so had the Margan wine matching which was exceedingly good. The food, as always, was fantastic and imaginative, all the more special being so local. Our waitress, Celine, was exceptional and helped improve our French! It remains our destination for special occasions.

We had the Margan ultimate wine tour and degustation experience in the Hunter and wow, what a memorable day. Starting from the moment you walked in with introduction to their rose sparkling wine, then walked around the beautifully kept grounds with our informative tour guide tasting the variety of wines on offer from their vineyard and again, wow
Extremely palatable, flavoursome and delicious. Seeing where the fresh produce comes from for your plate, and the menu to pick from was plentiful. Every dish was mouthwatering, especially when paired with the Margan Elite wines.
But the best foccacia I have ever tasted with the pillow top super herb crusted layer to bite into and super soft middle was outstanding.
You must never let this experience go without booking it in when your in the Hunter.

Fantastic food and wine - 2 course lunch menu, Ceres hill and timber vines chardonnays. Food was so tasty with good portions and wines are some of the best I have had. Highly recommend and will return!

Worth the drive from Sydney - great venue and staff and we enjoyed the local produce matched with Margan wines. We also tasted some wines with Steve on arrival which was a fantastic experience.
Will be going back.

A wonderful dining experience and atmosphere, we enjoyed the open fire and soft background music. The food was amazing! We love Margan's Semillon and the others we tried were nicely placed with our dishes. Very worthy of a 5 star review, don't hesitate it's a must try experience

A wonderful day at Margan Wines today - Steve's talk on vines & wines, from farm to food was great. Our meal was delicious - the Binnie Wagyu was exceptional, and the paired wines were simply perfect. Thank you!

Such a gorgeous venue and it’s been around since 1996 in Broke NSW, their wines are amazing, and the food is exceptional, all locally grown ingredients. I have eaten here many times in my duties as a wedding photographer and also a Hunter Valley traveller!

My husband & I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary & had a wonderful time yesterday at Margan Wines. Doing a tour with Wendsley. We then had a wonderful 5 course degustation lunch. They food was so nice we ended up back for dinner. Thank you so much for being a wonderful tour guide Wendsley & to all the staff for the wonderful service. Oh & the wines were delicious to

The tour of the winery and garden was very interesting and informative and nice surprise tastings along the way. Then lunch afterwards at the restaurant was absolutely superb with fantastic service. I highly recommend this experience- 5+ stars!

Bald man at bar counter with red face was racist and extremely rude. Why demean your patrons for simply asking what can we do before our reservation? Thankfully, the restaurant food was acceptable. But, I recommend passing on the wine pairing option. A total rip-off.

Dined here with a group of 10 for dinner. Service was amazing as was the food. Had such an amazing time, I will be back.

I went out to the vineyard with my best friend for my 30th and had the tour with Steve and Laura. They made the experience one I will never forget. I have a new found appreciation for sustainability and the process of wine making. Then we sat down for the five course degustation where our waiter Wen-slays attention to detail and whole vibe topped off the entire experience. 10/10 could not recommend this place enough

I was truly blown away by our visit to Margan Wines & Restaurant. I visited over Christmas with my husband and parents and we booked the Ultimate Margan Experience. Such a unique experience to taste wines while standing in front of the grapes from which they derived, as well as touring the farm and learning about their sustainable/organic approach to farming and winemaking. Followed of course by a 5-course lunch which was delicious (ask for a 2nd serving of the bread, you won't regret it.). We felt there was SO much value in the experience and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region. Special thanks to our guide Steve for his knowledge and hospitality, as well as all the restaurant/cellar door staff for their friendly service.

Always a hit whenever I go there. Have to taste their seasonal favourites which include the Barbera and Tempranillo, Hunter Valley rarities. Service is great, atmosphere too as is the accompanying food choices
