Marco Ave Medical Centre reviews
9 It’s important to remind medical centres that people who attend are sick and need care. Care is something that every medical professional and even the receptionists should willingly provide. My experience on 31.10.2020 explains a few points that that this surgery should attend to.
1. If patient doesn’t have a Medicare card, they should not be charged. The receptionist should call Medicare and assist the patient.
2. The doctor should examine the patient properly and not try brush the patient off to a hospital.
3. Communication is key when providing advice to a patient and Dr lacked this skill.
4. The pharmacy next door is conveniently located and staff were AMAZING!
Overall not the best experience and hope the care factor grows as this will improve patient experience and definitely health outcomes
11: 40 appointment seen at 12: 40 which is normal for a lot of GPs.why even bother giving a time if it’s going to be no where close!
Doctor was ok. Didn’t respond to some question despite asking a few times. Seemed impatient or not bothered to talk behind mask.
I believe the 1 star reviews give this place a bad rep.
The receptionists work long hours, with countless walk ins and delinquents causing problems, which has (in the past on a select few occasions) made them irritable: aren't we all?
Yes, the wait to see a doctor is quite long. If you book an appointment for 2, don't expect to see them before 2: 30, sadly medical practices take time and consults aren't always "cough, okay you're fine". Some are serious and need more than the 15 minutes to assess, so patience is a virtue.
My GP is fantastic. Seen him for over 15 years. Thorough, Caring, Helpful, and on my side.
Pros:
Great Doctors
Great services (i.e. Blood tests, vaccinations, dressings, consultations, physio, etc.)
Cons:
Long wait times
Disgruntled, sick people in the cue
Lack luster Channel 7 playing constantly (lol)
I can't even walk and before my surgery I talked with my doctor who told me I could get a medical certificate made up any time to be picked up by my family and I specified multiple times I need it for longer than a week I keep getting one day to top it off he won't even fill out some forms I needneed so I can receive payment still to afford my food and medication they obviously don't care about patients wellbeing
It's a long wait but tbh - I used to wait longer when I lived at Baulkham hills to see my doctor for 2-3 hours minimum. I've had a good experience coming to see Dr Subamma and she has always been helpful, kind and thoughtful. She remembers every detail of her patients.
I thought it was important to make this review because alot of patients are quick to make negative reviews without a single positive note.

This medical centre needs a wake up call on how to provide customer service. The staff at the desk we're rude knowing im standing in line for a while waiting to be approached did not even acknowledge me to say hi won't be long even though they we're not on the phone but fiddling with paperwork and chatting, it's also not hard to smile! Disgusting service. Not only did i make a appointment and still need to wait for a hour and 10 mins when i had my appointment for 5pm absolutely not acceptable i walked out to never return how dare you treat customers this way especially being unwell and doing the right thing by booking in to see the doctor
